Title: XM CARBONSPEED
Post by: JP on March 07, 2019, 07:19:11 PM
Purchased a frame about 10 months ago and the bottom bracket adapter separated and started  creaking, which falls under the 2 year warranty for a manufacturing defect. I have texted and emailed Peter several times.

He always took care of issues when arising.
Here it clearly looks something happened. I hope it isn't too bad.

It’s pretty bad when the bottom bracket shell wables in the frame when you pedal.

This is exactly what I had one day on a frame.
It was replaced, you just have to be patient.

I do not like BSA on carbon frames from China, they look very cheap inside.
The Press Fit raw carbon shells feel a much stronger interface.

Got a reply from Peter and explained that originally the frame is a pF30 and an adapter is bonded to turn it into a BSA. Wheels Manufacturing makes a PF30 to BSA adapter for $90. He deposited the funds into my Paypal Account so I can purchase the part. Problem Solved

Is anyone having any luck contacting Peter at XM Carbon Speed?  Over the years I've bought several frames from him, as well as multiple rims, and at least 4 sets of complete wheels.  Service has always been excellent and I've always received replies from Peter within a day.  My last warranty issue with him about 2 years ago over a cracked rim was handled quickly.  So just recently I cracked another rim on a wheelset I bought less than a year ago.  It's been almost a week now since I sent an email to Peter and Bella about it.  No response, which is unusual considering how responsive he normally is.  It has me worried since I have so much of Peters product that I may not get support for anymore.

Has anyone been in contact with them recently?

I contacted Peter a week ago since I'd like to get new rims. No answer so far. I've had good experiences with him four years ago when I bought rims. Not sure if I'd call it reliable now, if I don't get an answer on a purchase inquiry...  :-\
