Re: New Enduro Frame FS830
Yep. Ripmo, I do prefer this from fm831. However  there isnt a S size.

Appears to me to be more like a Pivot Firebird 29 clone. Which is not a bad bike at all to be cloning.

Re: ICAN P9 - Shock Options/bushings Probably a Norco Sight of a couple of years back or Scott Genius or Ransom. Maybe Canyon Strive.

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame Probably steepening the seat tube angle is where the top tube length went. It has to go somewhere when you steepen the seat angle. He can probably get 15-20 mm back by moving the seat back on it's rails a little.

Re: ICAN P9 & Rockshox Super Deluxe Coil RCT (Bushings) I spoke with Wolf Tooth Components. I asked about use of their Geoshift headset in an integrated headset head tube. This was the email resonse I recieved.

"Our GeoShift headsets are designed to replace the headset cups. The GeoShift is designed for frames that use replaceable bearing cups. Frames designed for integrated (IS) headsets do not have removable/replaceable bearing cups.  The (IS) frame uses a bearing surface that is machined into the frame or uses a permanent bearing surface that has been bonded to the frame. Unfortunately the GeoShift is not compatible with (IS) frames.

Let us know if we can help with anything else."

Re: ICAN P9 & Rockshox Super Deluxe Coil RCT (Bushings) I just spoke with a salesperson from a company Called 9 point 8. They have a head tube slacking modification coming out in September that will slacken the head angle of an integrated headset with a 42mm top diameter. They said just be patient. It is a little different in that you use your integrated headset bearings in this insert. Could be a game changer for anybody with an older Chinese frame that wants to modernize it a bit.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
Is there a frame like this in existence, from a Chinese manufacturer, with a modern geometry and good kinematics, but without the ridiculously small seatpost insertion and limited shock compatibility?
I was so stoked when I learned of it's existence, the short seatpost travel I could live with (150 Oneup could fit for my 80cm inseam) but when I read that the Mara shock with king can doesn't fit, it made the frame useless to my eyes.
I know of the Ican p9, unfortunately the reach is too short for my liking, sizing up isn't an option because of the long seat tube, plus I was unable to find any kinematics.values for it

FM1002 / FM1166 Looks pretty good. Has my interest definitely. Also the AM 830 Pivot clone or the AM831 Santa Cruz clone look pretty good. FM1001 / FM1156 for a little shorter travel version looks good.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29 Can anybody measure and tell me the minimum distance (with a fully inserted post for this frame) from center of bottom bracket to the top of a fully extended 150mm dropper post for a medium frame? I am interested in this frame, But I am not sure if I would be able to make it work.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
(FM1002 / FM1166) Seems like a good option for someone who needs a bike to go down well in natural, chunky terrain with no large drops, for me it's not progressive enough unfortunately, and not enough anti squat- I don't want to use the lockout switch.

Am I missing something? The bike (FM 1002/ FM 1166) has just over 100% anti Squat at 30mm shock compression. Which is somewhere near a normal riders sag preload. And the leverage ratio IS quite progressive up until the 130mm shock compression range. Then the leverage ratio falls back a little bit to the 150mm mark. But even there the leverage ratio remains acceptable. I may be interested in either of these bikes (FM1002 / FM1166 or LCFS 947). The LCFS 947 seems as if it would be a great choice if it works for me. But as I have mentioned, nobody will tell me the (LCFS 947) distance from the bottom bracket center to the top of a 150mm dropper post set at it's exteneded position and with the post inerted as far as it will comfortably go into the seat tube. If this wont work for me due to basic design flaws, then the FM 1002/ FM 1166 seems like a maybe good option.

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame
What’s your BB height like? I’ve been thinking about a mixed wheel setup and am trying to decide whether that will work in my area (Maine) because I ride a lot of very rocky trails where pedal strikes are a big issue.
You might be able to raise it up in the rear by 5-10 mm with an offset shock bushing.
