Hi @volan,
time is not the problem for me now, cause I've just broke my collarbone together with scapula...winter training, heh ;)... 2 months of wasting time. Nevermind.
You can shorten DT shocks travel (I think model doesn't matter) by inserting the plastic round washer(s) with radius cut (like 'C' letter, but without making a gap). I can't find good example now on internet, but it surly is somewhere. It is so simple like air chamber service.

Hi, I haven't been here for a while. Preparing for the new season I was thinking about changing crankarms for shorter due to some last season dengerous situations despite having SID 120mm and 43mm rear shock (dt 535 with self made 2mm spacer).  And here is what interesting news I came across: new 'longer' rocker arm release. I want to go for it. Have you guys CAD/pdf drawing of it? I'd like to check the geo change, especially the BB lift up, before I pull the trigger. It may be only three distance measurements between the axes instead of drawing.

NS Bikes has its own designers. I'm sure - I'm also from Poland :)
Anyhow FM936 geometry is great. Especialy it ascend awesome.
I tested it this season racing MTB marathons.

Nice crank but what is the deal? XTR 9100 the same weight and a bit more expensive. For me the choice would be simple.

@carbonazza , @Chortle ,
thanks for the info. I think 480mm is most common, so I'll go that way.
475mm is perfect equivalent of my  SAGged 100mm travel RS Reba.

Component Deals & Selection / Rigid boost 29 fork
« on: May 20, 2022, 04:27:32 AM »
Hi,
I was trying to find rigid boost carbon fork for my 29er frame with A-C length of 475mm. Do you know any?
It should be popular length, because 100mm suspension fork with 25-30% SAG is long like this.
I don't know why is it so hard to find any. If you know such fork please let me know.

I think more than 2 years with the factory bearings is not that bad, none of them was seized by the way but you must consider i avoid riding too much in bad conditions.

Not bad as for 2 years of riding. Yesterday I just got the frame (SL, large) and started to builing the XC bike. Still waiting for some parts, so nothing yet to show.

My friend did some trick, dont't exact know what (see photos), and IT works. There are only 2 positions now, open and close. That's fine with me.

That looks promising. Please ask your colleague how he managed to adjust the rear shock (15mm cable pull) with the OneLoc shifter.

We have bought both standard and super light.
Weight difference was only 50 gr.
...

The same size and difference only by 50g ? What I've read it was reported like 150g.

That's why I use centerlock :) I forgot to mention that my rotor offset differences were on CL hubs.

Hi, these hubs looks good for my new custom wheelset, but I have one question: is there the same brake rotor offset as in DT 350? I wonder because I will use two wheel sets from time to time, and adjusting the calliper everytime is quite annoying. I have this kind of "problem" in my road/gravel bike using DT and RYET hubs. Did anyone compared the two (DT, Goldix) ?

As requested by PM, here some linkage analysis.

If anyone has a vector diagram of this frame, I can provide more accurate results :)

Hi Julian, take a look at attached vector PDF. Is it enough? I can export it to CAD format (DXF or DWG) if needed.

EDIT: According to my "CAD analyze" 165x45 damper leaves about 1mm clearance between seat stays and seat tube, but I didn't take into account the flexibility of rear triangle, so 45mm travel is very risky. Besides it is only the drawing.

The fm909 frame was sent to me today :)

Hi, I'm looking forward to your build and feedback after your first rides. I am thinking about my first FS bike since 26 wheel FS times (GT i-Drive) and can't decide yet: 936 or 909.
