Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
The spacer is just a normal 1mm thick steel washer with an ~6mm ID and wide enough OD and I drilled it to 10mm ID. Then I cut it with an hacksaw from 1 side so I could bend it to be able to fit it on the shock shaft and then I just bent it back and closed the gap with pliers so it fits quite snugly on the 9mm shaft. It's not going anywhere since it's under the original bottom out shim. You just have to be careful not to scratch the shaft so it's a good idea to make all edges smooth. I had to do a similar procedure back in the day to a Fox DHX Air when the seatstay was hitting the main frame hard on my Mondraker even with the stock shock.

Hum... I'll guess I'll understand this better seeing it for real.
Shock shaft, and bottom out shim are alien to me.

For the BSA/PF92 story, I'm always for pressfit, except this time as the DUB spindle I have already is too big.
We've ordered 3 BSA beginning of July too. Damn! They've sent you one of ours by mistake ;)

Re: Stone or Pass Quest Chainrings - AliExpress They even copied the AB CNC look  ;)

Don't you think a zero offset will cause some trouble?
For the chain line and wear. And especially when back pedalling around the bigger cogs.
Generally happening after putting a foot down on a steep climb  ???

Did you check Garbaruk?

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Does this naked carbon interface on the inside of the chainstay with the rear wheel endcap look right to you?

I love how buying direct generate some doubts and fears over quality.
While buying a branded bike does not  ;)

Re: ICAN triaero A9 Very nice bike! The painting is great.
Did you weight the frame, fork, bar and post?

Re: ICAN triaero A9

Thank you carbonazza-san, Matt_C-san,

The weight
Frame : 1176g(with hangers, without TA)
Fork : 408g(uncut)
Seatpost : 270g(uncut)
Handlebars: 360g(witdh 400mm, stem length 100mm)
Headset : 153g(without spacers)
Fron TA : 64g
Rear TA : 75g

The TA has a lever, which I thought would be a disadvantage in terms of aerodynamics, so I changed to a flat type.
The flat TA was approx 40g.

I was expecting it to be a bit lighter, a sub 7kg disc must be expensive.
If I break my road bike, this is a serious option.
Thank you for the information !

Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056
Cables are not fully integrated on this frame, so the headset is not exactly this one but the same from  FSA with a circular standard top part. It should arrive with one.
For the rest I will install fizik cyrano R1 periph, and Light Bycicle wheels with dt240exp hubs.

Please take as many picture as you can of the integration between the handlebar-stem-frame, the cabling etc.  :)

Re: ZTTO BB92 BB86 threaded bottom brackets. I did put one on my 062 few months ago, changed the steel bearings immediately, with good ones, as they were with metal sleeves.
No problem so far.
Screwing the two cups together until flush, make the assembly strong.
I did put loctite compound over the last centimeter on each side before pressing.

Re: Help me doublecheck my nooby first enduro build FM10
...I also can't recommend going with pedals with titanium axles. Even really nice ti axle pedals tend to snap all the time.

I have two pairs of Time Atac pedals with Ti axles for years.
Maintaining them regularly and don't see any wear.

I tried Chinese ones, not the same story.
After a few months the axles were seriously sheared at contact points with bearings and bushing.

Where did you see them snap usually?
Is it something you could see coming by inspecting them?

Re: Help me doublecheck my nooby first enduro build FM10
I hate to say this on the Chinertown forum, but I think you'd be better off with a used lowish end FS bike for $1500 or a nice used hardtail for that much.  Everything you have is the cheapest of the cheap.
Don't you think Chinese components improve?
There are some brands that start to become something.
And such build could be seen as a starting point, that can then be upgraded if necessary later.
