Re: Tideace 2022 FS-AM831 Groupbuy C order with new Triangle
Im interested in a frame like this but as I remember there were countless problems with these frames beyond the flex issues including problems with hardware and frame bearings so Im still not sure...

Re: FM1002 / FM1166 - 150mm frame
Can anyone who owns this frame tell me about how it climbs. I want to build an enduro-ish bike to take out to asheville but I live in charlotte and the trails are a lot less gnarly so Im wondering how this frame does on hard climbs and slow tech features.

Nice looking build, cant wait to hear how it rides. Im pretty much set on building this frame this summer unless something better comes out.

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame
When I do that the end up about the size of the thumbnails on this site. you need to click the thumbnail to load the larger image and then right click the larger image and make sure to choose open image in new tab and not open link in new tab March 23, 2022, 10:49:41 PM |

Re: Trusted 150mm 29er suggestions
I've seen people run 150mm forks on the FM1001 as well so that is also an option depending on what you want to do with the bike.

Re: Trusted 150mm 29er suggestions
The ican p9 frame was a go-to reliable 150mm frame and many stateside "brands" slapped their name on it and sold it, but the geometry has become dated. The fm1002 is slacker and has a steeper seat tube, and it doesn't have a ridiculously long seat tube that limits dropper length like the p9. Check the FM1001/1002 threads, there have been very little issues with the frames other than bad cable grommets and low quality factory headset and bottom brackets. Its a simple frame design so you dont get the benefits of vpp or other fancy suspension designs but you also dont have to worry about a lack of stiffness, your rear triangle breaking, and a shady seller trying to sell you parts to fix your frame that they knew was poorly designed.

Re: New MTBer, Build Advice
At that budget going with used or new takeoff suspension is going to probably be the best option for you. Your fork is probably going to be the most expensive component on your bike and going with used or takeoff forks and can save you a ton of money. Check pinkbike buy/sell for good deals.

Re: Black Friday
11/11 is like the Chinese black Friday so expect to find the best deals around then. If you are fast you can find some good sitewide aliexpress coupons but coupons from individual sellers never seem to be that amazing.
