Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Shipping time from flyxii?
« on: January 18, 2015, 06:45:05 PM »
I placed an order for a couple frames in Dec. 1 was sent out immediately but they had to build the other one as they did not have it stock. Anyway says it export customs scan 12/26 but no word after that. I know its a waiting game but would have expected to arrive by now. Anyone else have experience? I hope my other frame doesn't take this long as I already had to wait an extra 25days for build. Portland, OR

29er / FR-202 Build
« on: December 16, 2014, 05:45:24 PM »
Just threw something together real quick for fun. Had a ton of parts lying around including an XX group from a XX1 swap, so picked up a frame from flyxii and going to sell it.
Flyxii FR-202 Frame Size 19" 3k Matte
SRAM XX Group
XO brakes
Rock Shock Reba RL fork 100mm
Bontrager Duster tubeless wheels
Niner alloy bars and seatpost
Race Face stem
Selle Italia SLR saddle

Pictured without front D because all I had was a direct mount. (maybe buyer will want 1X??)
Rear brake line not run internal because I did not feel like messing with it already set up

I like the frame and will buy a FR-217 and 602 for myself if this sells :)

29er / 142 in 135 frame
« on: December 07, 2014, 07:55:03 PM »
Hey I am building up a fr-202 flyxii hardtail. I did not quite go into full research mode before making the purchase but not a huge deal as I got an awesome deal on a frame from craigslist. I have 3 extra sets off wheels but they are ALL 142 spacing! I bought a cheaper set of Bontrager wheels that do not offer 135mm hub caps and was wondering if anyone has grind down the caps 3.5mm on each side? Seems like it is an easy solution. I have a thru to QR release adapter.

29er / FR-216 / FR-217 from Flyxii Experience?
« on: October 28, 2014, 12:03:13 AM »
Not a whole lot of info on this forum about Flyxii and was wondering what peoples experience was dealing with them.
I am considering buying the frame / fork FR-217 because it appears the geo will fit me well as I have a large inseam and a shorter reach. Really like the option of 142 in rear and the 15mm thru on the fork. I also like that they post all of their prices directly on the site where as it can take up to several days to get a quote from other sellers. Hoping I could get some feedback. Thanks
