Yeah I am not too concerned.  As a whole, the frame seems solid and strong.  One of my teammates had a Trek Boone that you could press the middle of the top tube and it would flex.  I think it is the nature of a wide tube diameter and a thin wall.

Took me a bit longer to make this post.  Overall experience has been really good.  The fit of everything was spot on. Full build came in at 15.2 lbs without pedals (size 52).  For being that light, I am also surprised at how stiff it feels in accelerations.  My order was handled well and had great communication. I really like the color but it is more purple than I expected, but it looks great.  You can see in the sunlight it has the orangish chameleon, but the purple is the dominant color. Paint selection was LCB-02HS. Current setup is gp5000 28mm, but have a second wheelset with 32mm gp5000. One bummer is the width of handlebar options.  I went with the 40 x 110 handlebar and I have been running narrower bars and would have selected narrower, if available.

I will quickly address some of the items on this thread:
My frame has a drain hole under the BB
I will say that the layup feels pretty thin below the bottle cage on the downtube.  It is a larger tube size, but the wall thickness feels thin.
Brake caliper mounts are faced
Rear thru axle does require more torque than other frames (but doesn't appear to be any thread damage, so I don't know, not really an issue to me, but a previous poster described this).

I had to cut the seat tube to get my fit right, but just 1/2" or so.
I also ran into an issue with the seatpost clamp.  After riding I needed to adjust, and upon retorque the clamp to 6nm something with the pins that hold the bolt broke.  I have contacted LC and will update with how quickly they respond.  I am pretty sure their clamp is a tried and true design across other frames, so I am not quite sure. I want to tear it apart to see whats going on but it is kind of a captive part.

I received frame yesterday, and am happy to report that some of the issues posted here the past few weeks were not a problem for me.

Clear coat over a really great chameleon paint

Faced brake mounts

Fit of everything seems really great

I requested both round and oval seat clamps and both were provided, showing attention to detail

Will post pictures when its complete

I ordered back in December.  Its ship date has been pushed back 2 times now.   I hope they are planning on building some stock, because waiting this long is brutal.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this frame after reading this thread.  Communicated with Wendy, and she was very helpful in making some selections with regards to paint, handlebars, and options.

However, the lead time is quite long.  I wasn't expecting shipping immediately, but she referenced a new mold being made, and shipping isn't estimated until March or end of March.  I ordered end of December.  Just a heads up to anyone considering.

pretty sure it is this one, but double check -https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255800198240324.html?spm=a2g0o.store_pc_allItems_or_groupList.0.0.e36c589eTeFlaH&pdp_npi=4%40dis%21USD%21US%20%2422.00%21US%20%2410.34%21%21%2122.00%2110.34%21%402103010e17060179970608896eb671%2110000001573941337%21sh%21US%212777477%21&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

On mine, the hanger would rattle loose (could probably use some loctite) and the screw isn't the highest quality. So with a small wrench and retightening, I have had the wrench slip a couple of times.  I bought an extra as backup, a cheap part to have a backup on.

I agree it is frustrating.   For what its worth,  the yxbikes ebay store offers the frame with axles and headset all together at the lowest price.

While you are at it, I would buy a spare hanger from the flyxii official store accessories.

I am in a similar situation as you but I did not get a response back from my inquiry to yishun.  Did you just use their inquiry form online?

Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: True CX frame (not gravel)
« on: November 01, 2023, 11:01:55 AM »
I will post some pictures later but I have been meaning to share my experience with my cx build.

Cyclocross is my primary discipline, and for this year I wanted a pit bike. I too wanted the true CX geometry with short wheelbase and high bottom bracket.  I landed on the GR029/FE-806/CX028  frame.  I put on SRAM force because that is what I like and I race single speed with the zip tied shifter.  I purchased through ebay store https://www.ebay.com/usr/yxbikes.  It included headset and thru axles (although the fork doesn't have a threaded insert, so it uses a quick release style thru axle), which added a level of simplicity.  It came with the flyxii top cap.   The crown race was a pretty snug fit, and required a pvc pipe to push it into place (https://nuxx.net/blog/2014/02/09/pvc-1-5-crown-race-setter/).

The geometry is a bit funky.  I really wanted to get the stack down to a certain size.  This frame has a high stack and short reach.  So a compromise was required to get  the stack where I wanted.  I sized down, thinking I could run a bit longer stem.   This worked, but I will say, it puts your pressure vector on the front tire in a less desirable angle while cornering off camber.  I have since put back on  a shorter stem.

The build went very smoothly as it uses those clip in cable stops.  BB shell threads don't look pretty but they were fine.   I paired this with a set of 40mm superteams with onirii rotors (CD-02), which aren't great and have a slight creak to them, but serve the purpose just fine.  Other items include, Ryet 3D saddle, Uno 100mm stem, RXL SL 38mm, Elita One 27.2x350mm seatpost, and Bolany 11-36 cassette.  Basically a full chiner build with Sram Force.

Total Weight came in with pedals and bottle cages just under 18 lbs.

When the season rolled around, I raced it instead of my A bike, and I love it.   The bike rips corners and having a true CX geometry and sizing down a bit has worked really well for me.  I'd highly recommend this frame if you are racing CX but just be aware of the stack/reach combo.  I much prefer it over longer gravely type frames being used in cx.

One youtube review I saw mentioned MORE friction with the 3d printed saddle and it left their bibs a little shredded. Perhaps that specific model with the glossy coating is what caused it.

Edit: That was an early version fizik knock off. He had better things to say about the Ryet saddle.

My experience is much closer to what  jonathanf2 experiences.   Much less friction, which I like a lot for cornering, but maybe slightly harder to find a singular default position. I liked my ryet enough to immediately buy a second for my other bike.

Or with the Sigeyi power meter: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001610276169.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.1000060.1.21407718DSiMjz&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller&scm=1007.13339.291025.0&scm_id=1007.13339.291025.0&scm-url=1007.13339.291025.0&pvid=3a31664b-9584-47c6-aa29-4022fe311d4a&_t=gps-id:pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller,scm-url:1007.13339.291025.0,pvid:3a31664b-9584-47c6-aa29-4022fe311d4a,tpp_buckets:668%232846%238114%231999&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21USD%21482.79%21381.4%21%21%21%21%21%402103246416866521913423919e4785%2112000016800648650%21rec%21BE%21768088907

Those are great prices...

The zrace crank and sigeyi powermeter that I purchased (sram 3-bolt) has a design flaw that broke the waterproof seal of the powermeter and ruin the board. I do not know if other interfaces have the same issue, but would assume they do.   Sigeyi claimed they have asked for this model to not be advertised together, but sellers continue to do so. Attached is an image of where the crank arm touches the power meter.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: LTWOO RX hydro sets
« on: May 23, 2023, 11:05:31 AM »
100 miles on my GR9 set and its...ok. Braking is great. I accidentally did the "squeeze without wheel" thing mentioned above totally on accident when removing my bike from the car rack. Now my front brake grabs really well lol!

Shifting is ok. Shifts to harder gears nicely, but is struggling to move to bigger cogs. I think the cable is stock shifter cable fully stretched now and some fine tuning on the indexing will make it much better. I'm wondering if upgrading the cable will improve performance.

Still getting used to the ergonomics of the ltwoo hoods. Might just be my fit that needs some slight adjustments.

Did the replacement shifter work much better than the first?   I just installed my shifters and am having similar bad shifting.
