Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)
for your information.

I ordered this morning the super-light version  :D
and I'm really looking forward to it.

So far, I am very impressed with my contact: Wendy.
Very very fast. Very professional and attentive. and she seems to have a clue.
Also with my desired paint job, it was much easier and faster than with ICAN.

I was pestered with questions and had exact ideas about the design and was very precise... and everything was answered quickly, friendly and well.

I can say the same about dealing with Yishunbike recently. The Guidance from Kitty was very handy and within 24h. I had the chance ordering the R1058-D and they accepted my custom paint scheme as well as building up a specific rim/hub combination. So all in all about communication it was a very reliable experience.

They even told me, that after Patrick posted his youtube video about the R086-D, they receive a high amount of traffic and attention and are not able to deal with everyone.

I keep you posted when receiving the frameset and wheels and will comment on quality as I have the direct comparison to the new G21 from Yoeleo and there rims.

Cheers,
Marco

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)
That is what I am expecting, too. As said, I am new to internal cable routing and I might have made a mistake but this looks strange. Had already funny pictures in my head what I could have done wrong with the washer or the bearing  ::)
Ideally, I will disassemble the headset today and double-check.

@Sakizashi: The "grinding paste" is a fair point. Especially if the gap remains as seen on the pictures, regular checking of the headset unit will be necessary. I would not have used grease on lower parts of the bike anyway. Stem and handlebars were my main thought.

Maybe the gap is coming from your headset bearings (different sizing top/bottom), that was my issue after building the Yoeleo G21 Batch 1 without the guiding they are providing now. Check that and could be that after switching out the .5mm are gone.

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D Well, today I received the first pictures of my frame, paint job was done by Yishun and don't ask how I got them convinced to do so ;)
Unfortunately I am not able to upload the pictures as attachment, so here are the links to my drive.

Design was inspired by: Pinarello Dogma F Framekit 2023 Disc Electro Violett

I will share the complete build somewhere end of January when frame has arrived and I will share my first thoughts and more pictures while building as well.

Stay tuned!

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D So the build went pretty well, I had some minor issues inside the bottom bracket area, which I provided to Yishunbike for a safety check, but it seems that these are only Resin bubbles on the connection from the back triangle & I had to sand down the headset plastic bearing cover as Patrick did on his Yishunbike.

Overall I can confirm the build quality and facing on all relevant areas. The bike is very well made. The paint job which I get Yishunbike convinced to do is fantastic, no spots or anything compared to the paint job I get done by my other Yoeleo G21 bike!

Due to weather conditions I could only ride 150km on my Tacx Neo, but it feels quite stiff when putting 1.200 Watts on the pedals. I hope I can get outside soon and will update my ride feel accordingly.

I am 193cm tall, 93kg, 91cm inseam, 59 size on my R1058D with 110 stem length and it fits pretty good to my measurements.

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D
Like the breakdown of parts that you've used and the wheelset. I already have a Yishun agent (Melinda) and she's really nice and helpful. I ordered R086D and RSL50D wheelset from her.
Got you:

Bikeparts:
- Sram Force AXS Hoods & Brake Calipers
- SRAM Red Crankset 48/35T
- SRAM BB PF86.5
- SRAM Red AXS 33T Rear Derailleur
- SRAM Red AXS Front Derailleur
- Assioma DUO Pedals
- Brooks Bartape
- Ergolab 612 Saddle
- SKS Slidecage
- Wahoo Mount Dymoece from Amazon (Yishunbike one is crap as yoou could only Mount your Wahoo sideways...)

Wheelset:
- Yoeleo SAT T50D
- Vittoria Corsa Control Graphene 2.0 30mm
- SRAM Red Cassette 10-33T
- SRAM CLX-R 160mm Disc Brakes

on windy days around Munich
- Yishunbike ASD33C
- Conti hookless tyres in 32mm
- SRAM Force Cassette 10-33T
- SRAM CLX-R 160mm Disc Brakes

Re: Yishunbike R1058-D I haven't weight the individual components as for me with 94kg it's not really relevant. ;)
I ordered the normal version; but as my final build with a mix of Sram RED, Force components is at 7,8kg I would guess it's close to what's mentioned on their website.

Re: Frame recommendations around 60cm.
(My apologies if this has been discussed ad nauseam).

I'm looking for a modern carbon road frame for a 193cm tall rider (6ft 3), who I'd usually suggest a 60/61cm frame, with a stack height in the 615 mm ballpark. Rider is new to road cycling, so the geometry shouldn't be too aggressive.

So far I've only seen the the TanTan/Seraph TT-X34. Are there any other Chinese companies offering frames that big?

Thanks.

I am 1.91m had my bike fitting last friday with my Yishun R1058-D in size 59 with 110mm x 440mm handlebar combo and it fits me by 2mm in the perfect range with a not too aggressive position. Keep the setback of 15mm in mind so if you have shorter arms than usual adapt the reach accordingly. I had to clamp my saddle on the front limit.

if you want to know more details about yishun or the frames available get in touch with Kitty: "kitty.jiang@yishunbike.com".
