The SAPIM CX-Ray are lighter, but more expensive.
The DT-240s or Carbon Ti too, but... too :)
SAPIM nipples are well anodized, if you oil the spokes when mounting the wheel, they can still be tuned if needed years after.
Well... I don't live by the sea. Salt is not a friend of the steel/alloy interface, so maybe brass is the only option for you.

To give you an idea.
I'm about the same weight, and took the XC925 rims, with dt-240s and SAPIM CX-Ray, Polyax Alloy for a 1216g wheelset.
And ride with 2.35 tires.

It is probably a resonance problem with the front wheel at a certain frequency.
Not necessarily linked to the fork.
Did you try with another wheel ?

Or try to change something, like another valve if tubeless, another tube, or another tire, as it may be deformed, etc.
Change the torque you tighten the front wheel.

This is not really a problem of this particular shop.
Shipping issues happen. Mistakes too.

Some of my orders took months to arrive.
Even sometimes after winning a dispute and being reimbursed.

In general, sellers fix/compensate any mistake or lost package get reimbursed by Ali.
It just can take ages, with cumbersome communications with both Ali and the seller.

Roadie all the way. Front mech is needed for me.

The MTB world evolved, and the front mech will disappear.
You'll have less and less options along the years to maintain your bike.

Did you try an Eagle groupset already ? It has 520% range now.
If you ride on very technical terrains, having the correct cadence is not that an issue and you have the range.

If not, why not consider a gravel instead?
You can put up to 50mm tires and ride as well in most tracks as you would do with a hard tail.

...I’ll likely send the shock out for a tune this winter.

Just curious. Does that void any warranty ?

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Bearings

I pay extraordinary amounts for some bike parts, but not headsets  8)
My first one was a Canecreek 40.
It is indeed much better manufactured.
But the bottom bearings didn't last long.
I then discovered the cheap ones from Ali, and never came back to expensive ones for any build.
The top Canecreek bearings is still laying in a drawer as it was still smooth.

I'm interested to know how the 110 will fare.

Ok, I knew his instagram, but I didn't spot the part about drilling the bars

Dangerholm uses Syncros IC SL handlebar for internal routing. He drills holes handlebar.

Really ?!? I didn't see that.
Do you have a link with some details ?

Anybody try and get a crash replacement? What is the policy?

Sorry to see that... It must be saddening.
I would buy some UD carbon cloth and epoxy resin.
And wrap this unfortunate hit with them.

They will probably sell you a rear triangle if asked politely.
But I didn't ear they had a crash replacement policy, but who knows, you can and ask saying we are many here and it would give us some relief  8)

...as it was designed by NS Bikes so pretty sure the suspension kinematics will be on point as is the geo.
How do you know that for sure ?
NS Bikes designed their own rear triangle maybe, with the help of flybike-asia maybe, but nothing is certain, or did I miss a boat ?  :D

My FM936 build. 10,35 kg without pedals. Pretty light regarding it has a dropper post.

It looks awesome !
Not sure the chainstay protector will stay for long, but I like its minimalist design  :D

I requested a quote for the handlebar too and was told it was not in production. The handlebar is on the flybike website. It's called hb 156 http://www.flybike-asia.com/product/217.html I don't know if it'll ever be available without ordering a commercial quality. I ordered one of these handlebars (thanks carbonza) https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32967312663.html?trace=wwwdetail2mobilesitedetail&spm=a2g0n.store_m_allProduct.allProducts_11695160.32967312663

Beware this is not an internal routing handlebar.
There is no way to pass the cables through the headset if you want it fully integrated.

...The only other fault i found is the "lip" for upper bearing in the headtube there is some strange chipping. I don't think its an huge problem as it's not huge and to my eyes it's anyway not made of fibers, so it should not be structural...

Contact the seller with the picture to warn them now.
And just check after a few months, if it stayed in the same state.
Most probably it will, but if not, dealing with the pain of warranty at that time.
