Yes. Just to be sure contact the seller.

Or maybe go directly to ZRACE's store on https://zrace.aliexpress.com/ (wow... they have their own sub domain on ali  :o) to ask them questions.
But they are more expensive.

Just one note.
If you plan to put it on a frame without spacers, the inside screw contact with the headset cap.
So you have to decide between a 10mm spacer, or no mount.
And another one... to disassemble the mount, you need to remove the bar from the fork to access that screw. Not a big deal, but booh  ::)

Really! Usually the copies are the worst! interesting to hear! thanks for the info Jim!

I bought from Runchita(the same store) my 2 for cold riding soft shells.

They have now two winters, the orange is less orange, but still great, and a very good price.

With a DUB BB, this one from ZRACE: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001288075645.html
Insure you take the DUB version as there are 24mm ones.
If I remember well, you can contact them to just buy the crankset+ring without the BB.

It has a 29mm spindle. But the width is not exactly the same as SRAM DUB.
Instead of an adjuster ring to preload, it comes with spacers you can choose.

Here's a good BB, for BB386 take the road version:

I don't know what you mean, but I've choosen that frame before I read your message. I've asked to tantan for an fm799 but it was no more in stock so they offered me the fm199
It was a joke  ;) Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Vendor Discussion & Reviews / Re: Carbonda or Carbon Speed
« on: March 23, 2021, 12:21:54 PM »
I'm looking (actually ready to purchase) for a 29er or 29+ cf fork with gear/bottle cage mounts. And Carbonda & Carbon Speed both have a model.

My problem is neither is responding to my emails. Anyone in contact with either one?

Yes, Wing at Carbonda replies quickly in general, but I'm a regular buyer there.
I remember telling her there were some folks not receiving replies.
She explained, sometimes you need to check your spam folder. They have issues with that.
And if your question or need is about something that is not ready and will come in a few months, it falls in the queue.
For instance if you ask them for a hardtail, since they focus on grave and full sus now, I guess you fall behind.
Maybe it is cultural to handle clients this way.

I don't know how Peter is doing now after his pause.
But it was always great to deal with. Not sure where he was getting his frame from.
Recently I saw that one https://www.lightcarbon.com/lightweight-lightest-cross-country-mountain-bike-frameset_p66.html that looks to a new version of the 041 Peter was the only one to sell here at that time.
Flybike-asia behind Carbonda, have a copy of the Stache he was selling too.
So maybe he had various sources, this was always opaque.

Painful.
Yeah... you give an advice, and the person takes your place in the queue  ;)

I'm looking at hardtails too, and found the FM199-B from TanTan to be my best pick.

Short chainstay, boost, relatively light, no useless cable holes, and the simple look.

Would like to get one of these for my son to race next season.  Is there a group buy?  I have been in contact with wing and I'm about to put a deposit down.
There is no group buy on this one, only on the Santa Cruz clone.
No worries for your deposit, you are in good hands with Wing.

im thinking of trying a cheaper off brand for my xc and trail bike, and i think if i do buy a cheap fork from Ali ill try the ztto ones. their stuff is generally of good quality in my experience.

but then for a little bit more you can get a manitou markour

Thanks, I forgot ZTTO. Will look their options.
Is it just the sticker that says Manitou? Or the internals too  ;)

I'm looking for cheap 100 or 120mm too  ;)

Sixmo guys have selected this fork to sell it in the US.
Unless they are dishonest or dumb, it gives me confidence to try these Aliexpress fork.

EDIT: a comment on another fork:

"The product looks good but is in fact very low quality. the functions work well but the overall performance is poor. the fork load's up through travel and gets so stiff it doesn't work. I'm a retired pro cyclist and bike mechanic so I decided to take it apart. it's not a real mountain bike fork in any means. it has a air chamber that works but doesn't have a oil bath. so on either side there are no oil seals. on the rebound and compression side it's a low quality cartridge. again no oil seals so just cheap plastic bushings. I think this fork is good for very easy smooth trails not North shore of BC Canada."
Maybe some checks are necessary before buying

If you look at the comment of a french guy in the comments, it looks scary...
After all, not sure I want to put such fork of a build I do for someone  :o

Metal Frames / Re: Waltly Ti gravel bike build

...standard brushed finished. It’s super easy to clean and redo to hide scratches.

That is a great feature of brushed Ti !

Very interesting, thank you. What a journey !
Seeing the small holes here and there, the internal routing must have taken its amount of energy.
Is the fork carbon or Ti ?
Did you settle on the finish already ?
