Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! I switched to an OSPW and while the efficiency benefits are unverified and debatable, the reduction in drivetrain noise is very real. I have no plan to go back. IMO this benefit alone is worth the change. Silence is golden.

Re: Carbonda Gravel Carbon frame CFR707 In case anyone is wondering about current prices...

CFR707 w/ Bar - $650
headset - $15
axles - $26
spacers $5
hangar - $8
shipping to US $190
paint $95

+ transaction fees on payment are approx 5%

All-in will be over $1k. Not bad but definitely more than I was expecting for an off-brand china frameset.

Re: Spcycle New Mold G068 Carbon Gravel Frame The lack of in-frame storage and the choice of an adventure style fork with a bunch of bolt holes are both big turnoffs.

The hunt continues.....

Re: Magene l508 vs garmin radars Even the garmin produces occasional falses (neg and pos). I believe after a lot of use that this is the result of their noise filtering. The most disconcerting behavior is when a car sits behind you at a consistent distance for some period of time. The radar on occasion will decide that it isn't a moving object and will stop reporting it. When the distance to the car changes it suddenly reappears.

I still prefer riding with radar whenever possible, but it isn't perfect. None of them are. I have no experience with the Magene units, but at this point I'm sure they are as good as the Garmin ones.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! I've broken chains but never a quick link of any brand or type. I reuse them without any second thought until I retire the chain.

If I break a quicklink tomorrow I'll be singing a different tune!

Hello, someone tested trasparent frame protective layer? something with good glue without paint damages when removed? thanks

I've had good luck with the generic clear helicopter tape for quick dirty protection.

If you want a fitted kit to really wrap a frame and make it pretty, I would spend real money for a kit that has been meticulously designed for your frame. The difference between a frame specific wrap kit and a generic one is huge.
