Re: ICAN triaero A9 Out for a ride with a mate today. Does it look like there's nearly a 10k price difference? Definitely doesn't perform like there is. ;D

Re: ZRace Disc Brakes
High strength is needed even with compressionless housing ?
How much time before the folks at Sensah release a hydro version ?  :)

Yes unfortunately. I used brand new compresionless housing and the bike is not internally routed so there were not any really tight turns in the cable either. I would be more than happy to run them on my own road bike but if my girlfriend has to do an emergency stop in city traffic i don't think it will end well. I am considering putting my hydro set up on her bike and I can use the cable brakes... That will be a full days work though  ::)

Re: ICAN triaero A9 I didn't have the problem with my original r8000 hanger, definitely the OSPW for me. I think we have our derailleurs on differently (not sure which way is correct. Take a look at the angle of or hangers, yours is straight while mine is at an angle. I just had a look at a mates bike that was built by a professional mechanic and his is also angled. It may be something for you to look at. Remove derailleur, rotate backwards and tighten it up again.

Re: Zrace RX - Does it play well with Shimano derailleurs? There is a great thread on weightweenies regarding the new dual sided Magene PM. The thread compares power readings with other PMs and compares shifting performance aswell. Long story short: dodgy numbers compared to assiomas and smart trainer. Dodgy shifting aswell. For clarity, I personally own a left sided Magene. I wanted this PM to be a big success. I was an early backer of the Kickstarter but pulled out after the GPlama video.

Re: ICAN triaero A9 That is a Cannondale Systemsix. It weighs 8.1kg without bottles (non hi-mod frame and 80mm wheels adds some weight). My bike is 7.85kg without bottles

Re: Difference in quality between ~600$ and ~1200$ frames? There is a chance that a $300 frame could be as good maybe even better than a $3000 frame but it is a really big gamble. With more expensive frames you don't just pay for the frame you pay for frame + quality control + warranty + plus communication etc. You are buying a service and a bike. Some more expensive frames offer better quality carbon which can make frames lighter. I thought this was the case with workswell until someone compared the weights of the exact same mould from velobuild and the weights were exact the same even though workswell charge $300 more. I think the sweet spot is around the $600-800 mark. Good quality with good communication warranty and returns if something goes wrong. Shit happens and carbon breaks even on the most expensive bikes, you just don't want to be left up shit creak without a paddle if it does.

Re: Difference in quality between ~600$ and ~1200$ frames? I have bought 7 A9 frames from ICAN and I just keep going back for the level of finishing. Cable exit and entrance points are always clean and easy to route, no BB issues (so far), thru axles always aligned, etc. They do a quality check at the factory on each frame that lasts a few mins but it can save you months of annoying returns time if it wasn't done. I see lots of minor QC issues with tantan/seraph that I have never seen on one of my A9s but I am a small sample size. Tantan sell more frames than any other manufacturer so it is more likely for them to have more problems, it's a numbers game.

Re: ceramic OSPW and BBs! I'm on my second OSPW. First was a rockbros one... Absolutely terrible, it only had one option for chain tension. I am now using an unbranded ceramic speed replica which is working flawlessly and it was cheaper than the rockbros one.

Here is a link for the ceramic speed replica. I pulled off the decals quite easily: https://a.aliexpress.com/_uYD27T

I have also included a picture of it.

Re: TT extensions for integrated carbon handlebar? I have been looking for the same thing, here is what I have found:
Giant Clip on bars (might not fit)
Canyon H36 clip on bars (might not fit)
Venge clip on bars (expensive)
Syncros (already posted)
Control tech falcon (already posted)

Let me know if you have any success

Re: Glasses I can also approve of the NRC glasses posted by carbonazza. I have the photochromatic version with a few other colours. Like I already said the photochromatic works... Just not very well. Glasses themselves are fantastic and lenses are easy to change. Having rimless glasses is brilliant, I hate wearing anything else now.
