Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
My 500k update on er9. I’m pleased with it. It works very well. No issues, despite a few rides in really grim weather conditions. I’ve also washed the bike quite a few times now. No problems.

I’m interested to know if someone here can compare it with other electronic groupsets. I’ve only ever ridden the last generation 11sp Ultegra Di2. But that’s quite a while ago. I wish the shifting was a bit quicker with er9, particularly when going to bigger cogs/easier gears on the cassette. The time it takes from clicking to the chain making it to the next cog sometimes feels rather slow. Especially compared to the mechanical groupsets I got on my other bikes. Also: More feedback from the shift buttons would be nice.

Other than that, no complaints.

Pretty much the same experience that I have. Approaching 1000 kilometers with my er9 and I wish that buttons were more tactile because I have no idea if I already shifted or not. FD shifting is not the worst but not the best either. I don't really have any comparison but my mechanical ultegra which shifts great. It is really a gateway to electronic shifting. I hope the next version of what they make would be much nicer and improved. I also tested this in rain and always clean it with wet cloth. No issues whatsoever. My 105 di2 12 speed is on the way and I would have a perspective on what will be the difference between an established brand vs a new and upcoming brand.

Found this comparison from 3 months ago "Does L-Twoo eRX really outperform Di2 Dura Ace? Battle of Budget vs premium electronic shifting" by
Klein Concept on youtube  (see I am not allowed to use the direct url so you will have to search for it)

Already watched that. Di2 were much crispier and shifts faster than LTwoo. But he is comparing the highest tier of Shimano. He should've compared to something like Rival or 105 but I doubt there would be any difference with 105 and DA. I am happy to be corrected if someone here has an experience with both groupset

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D) LC was my first choice when I am building my very first Chiner. I am planning to buy MTB from LC but I guess another road bike would not hurt tho

Re: Aliexpress Cyber Monday Discount
Bummer. What seller was this?

Anrancee. The thing is, LTwoo Official Store also shipped my eR9 using the same courier (UPS) so I don't get what is the issue on Anrancee's end. I don't know if there's an issue if I just use Express Saver or Expedited because I used the latter on LTwoo while the former for Anrancee. I am still trying to talk with Anrancee if they can just ship the item to my wife's (boyfriend lol jk) house.

I'm not sure about Eillee, but according to China Cycling on YT, the co-founder of Cybrei is actively racing with the Mongolian continental racing team and has been equipping the cranks on their bikes. I like they're actually being field tested at a professional level.

I am already leaning towards Cybrei BUT all they have is 28.99mm spindle which I would also buy a 29mm bb86 Bottom Bracket and I am thinking twice about that. Elilee XXE however has 24mm titanium spindle (with additional price) but I want to know what is the quality of their cranks before buying one and they are available in a bike shop in the Philippines. Or I would just buy Rotor cranks and call it a day.

Edit: I also saw Incolor's Skypivot in Pandapodium and they also have 24mm titanium spindle. Interesting enough :D

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Doed anyone know if the LTWOO shifters are compatible with Shimano og SRAM brake callipers? I cant get my LTWOO ER9 calliper to fit the fork on my LightCarbon frameset. Could go for the 140mm rotor, but want to see if I can get 160mm front and back. Se pictures. Other solutions are welcome

I think Shimano is compatible since they use mineral oil. SRAM however is not since they use DOT 5

Re: Recommendations for a carbon saddle?
Anyone use a power saddle replica from AliExpress? I have 3 drop bar bikes and I think it’s time to break up with my Fizik Airone saddles.

Patrick Lino did some reviews regarding that one.

Re: Yishun R1088-D Aero Road
I just got the frame delivered. Here are few pictures. I wonder if the cable hole in the fork(last picture) is normal this way or if I should contact Yishun about it. It isn’t smooth at all but I’m unsure if that’s expected with Chinese brands.

Contact them regarding that one. They are responsive on issues like that and would also gladly help you on how to fix it

Re: Why are road bikes more popular than mountain biking?
But surely most people who can afford a $2000 bike also live near a park? So they can throw the bike in their SUV and drive to the trails?

I live in a place where trails are just a bike away. I was a competitive XC MTB guy before switching fully to road bike. I also used my MTB to go to various places and train in paved hills or mountains. Then I bought a road bike and was planning to just use it for road work and do trails on MTB. But then, road biking is much more fun in paved roads and much faster that I gave up my MTB and sold it to buy a nice Chiner frame.

Well the thing is, I understand why road biking is more popular than MTB. Lot of people just want to go from point A to point B using bike and the fastest way to do it is on a road bike.

Maybe another thing is, road bike races are much more exciting to watch than XC MTB. On road bike race, you need to factor in a lot of things and there's a team work and there's a lot of strong riders on the field and is not just dominated by one person. Meanwhile, on XC MTB, I know only 2 people who is really strong they dominated XC MTB for a decade each and that was Julien Absalon and Nino Schurter. On XC MTB races, the one who goes first on single track is usually the winner and casual riders don't want to watch a single guy riding solo on a breakaway.

This is just my opinion :p

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Hello I have contacted LTWOO without response, There was a question: if anyone figured out yet what the “Gear protection”  options in the LTWOO application actually is?

Purpose is to prevent your drivetrain from crosschaining. If you are on the big gear at the front, you won't be able to shift your rear to the last 2 lowest gear. Same if you are on the small ring, you won't be able to shift your rear to the last 2 highest gear

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets I, now have a point of comparison as I already installed my Shimano 105 Di2. Pressing the shifters with Shimano is much better since there is a feedback and has more tactility compared to LTwoo which feels like linear when you are pressing those shifters. In terms of shifting performance of RD and FD, I feel Shimano is much better because it's like you are shifting with mechanical (almost no delays) and more quieter than LTwoo. Now I see why LTwoo is much cheaper because Shimano has a much better hardware and software. Also has a much better integration with my head unit (Garmin) because my unit always detects low battery on my LTwoo. Braking feels much better with Shimano. LTwoo's brake caliper is shit

Now, I am trying to sell my LTwoo Er9 if anyone's interested because I need funds. (I plan on not selling for my Gravel bike project but I really need funds right now)
