Title: Building a 29er "Gravel" Bike
Post by: TheDarKris on January 06, 2021, 10:12:22 AM
Hello,

I wanted to build a rigid 29er that can take a dropper post and fit up to a 36t oval chainring. One frame that I saw was the OG Evkin CF-052 and I saw people running 36t rings for that so that's something I'm considering. I would pair it with a FK-006 carbon fork ideally and I think that could work out.

Are there any other options to consider? The main issue would be finding chainring clearance. I would also like to see if custom paint is an option too.

I own a CF-052 and run it with a 36T (round) chainring. I'll take you a picture later.
Maximum seatpost insert is ~ 20cm on my size L frame.

Thanks. I would like to see the chainring clearance if possible. Did you space the drive side out any more to clear those chainrings?

No, I didn't space the drive side out.
The clearance is about 2mm.
