Re: looking for ready made Ti frames. I think Waltly is also a well know option
http://waltlytitanium.com/

And on AliExpress you can find PYTITANS, which are the cheapest option I think.

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts I absolutely doubt the weight of your Reba, that would be even lighter than a Sid. It should also be somewhere in the 1600-1700g range.

GPS Bike Computer

Xoss G+
https://www.xoss.co/pages/xoss-g.html
http://aliexpress.com/item/4000971650483.html
For around 35€ a nice simple bike computer with ANT+ and Bluetooth. Supports Speed/Cadence/Heartrate Sensor.
GPS connection is okay, the GPS fix takes sometimes a bit longer (could be the place where I live), and sometimes it loses the connection while riding in the forest.

iGPSport iGS520
https://www.igpsport.com/igs520
https://aliexpress.com/item/1005001338284700.html
I bought it because I was very curious how good/bad the cheapest GPS bike computer with Navigation is. The price was around 70€.
The computer itself works great, you can connect your Powermeter, configure which data you want to see on the pages, both things the Xoss can't do.
Compared to a friends Wahoo it was also pretty accurate.
Now to the Navigation part. I only tried it with the first Firmware 1.05 (?), the current one is 1.10, which might have some improvements.
The iGS520 has no internal maps, so it only shows you the route and gives you directions when to turn, which is fine for me as I usually ride in my home area.
Route planning is done via the iGPSport app. And it sucks. You can set the waypoints on a Google Maps map, but you can't edit/move the already set waypoints anymore. It's also more road riding orientated, planning a MTB route is even worse. Last time I tried to transfer the route to the iGS520 the App went into a loop where it starts at 0% again after the upload was at 100%.
You can log into the iGPSport Website and import .gpx-Files and also create routes for your Routebook there. But if you try to upload one of these routes the app will give you an error and won't even start uploading then.
-> The navigation feature is absolutely useless. (for now?)

Edit: With Firmware 1.10 (1.20 should be coming soon?) you can at least the routes you created online or in the app, upload to the iGS 520 also works now, but on longer routes it's quite slow.

Edit again: Firmware 1.31 is now available. It has a workout mode if you have a powermeter and also has a indoor cycling feature now. Haven't tried both of them. But, and that's much important: .gpx-Import seems finally to work!

Sensors

Magene Speed/Cadence Sensor
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001096008233.html
Xoss Speed/Cadence/Heartrate Sensors
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4001157509389.html
I have the Xoss Heartrate Sensor, 2 Xoss Speed/Cadence Sensors and 3 Magene Speed/Cadence Sensors.
They all work unremarkable.
The Xoss sensors have the better mounting with 2 1 thicker O-Rings, while the Magene only has one. The smaller one Magane delivers is also too small to use.
The Magene on the other hand has the better battery cap, which needs no coin to open, and is easier to put back in.

Re: My OG-Evkin CF-052 (FM699) build w/ 60% AliExpress parts Time for an update!

The percentage of AliExpress parts is now even higher, but i'm too lazy to calculate it right now.  ;D
I've done around 500km on it now, and I'm still very satisfied with it.

A few days ago I went from the old aluminium wheelset to carbon. I went with Carbonbeam CBZA29XC33SL rims, ZTTO M2 hubs, Pillar 1420 spokes and green Sapim Polyax nipples. The same time I went tubeless on the Contis, Racesports are fun to get airtight.  :P
I changed the grips to some locking ones from AliX, but I think I want something else.
After breaking the Elita One seatpost I got one from Toseek, which also got a crack, this time at the transition from the carbon post to the metal seat clamp. I got fed up and ordered a 150mm OneUp dropper post, and also a Shimano iSpec remote for it. And I got a GUB 1183 with Titanium rails.
I also ordered a AliX remote for the lockout of the fork, but never mounted it. I also removed the clunky Rockshox remote, as I'm almost never using it anyways.
I had to change the  bearings of the ZTTO bottom bracket after just 61km. Seems like they didn't like the muddy winter weather.  :P
The non-drive side crank bolt also had to be changed, but that was my mistake, I wrote something about it in the Fovno-thread.
I also noticed that the Fovno chainring is between Boost and Non-Boost offset, so I went ahead and ordered a Non-Boost chainring. The first one from BDSnail was a defect production which slipped through QC (if there is any haha) and was unusuable, so I went with one from VXM. I went from 36T to 34T because of frame clearance, but I still like the 36T one better.
Last but not least I got a super lightweight headset top cap and some sintered metal brake pads.

Right now it sits at around 10.5 kg, which is okay-ish I guess. I'm still waiting for the OG-Evkin handlebar to be stock in the EU warehouse, which should be good for another 200g. I'm down for other cheap lightweight mods, but I'm not looking to spend big money on lighter forks or cranks.
I also want to get a Shimano shifter with iSpec someday, and I'd love to try the S-Ride M700C rear derailleur, which is unfortunately only sold as a complete groupset.

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Maybe I should order the brakes now?

Definitely should do that!
Lead time on them is 12-15 months, R2-Bike says 4-8 months and Bike Components up to 7 months. I think Bike Components also gets them from time to time, so worth checking if they have some in stock.

Probably is updating the country tax  ;)
Yep, this. I'm from Germany like R2, and the price is 897€ with German VAT.

Re: Recommendations for lightweight Full suspension XC/Trail frame
Did you ask Carbonda for the FM1156 ?
Wing did send me a geometry file in August last year, saying it would be available as from December.

@Flo7 has already one and finished his build.
http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,3104.msg26262.html#msg26262

Only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it uses a 30.9mm and I wouldn't be able to keep my 31.6mm OneUp  :(

Re: My OG-Evkin CF-052 (FM699) build w/ 60% AliExpress parts Took some pictures today.
The OG-Evkin handlebar is also ordered now, along with some new grips. Ordered the handlebar from China, it's back in the spanish warehouse, but shipping is 33€ now.  :o
And I bought a Deore M6100 iSpec shifter for 15€ shipped on Ebay.

Re: My OG-Evkin CF-052 (FM699) build w/ 60% AliExpress parts Thanks!

It's Mini Jungle Green, Paint Code is C15. We added some gold pigments, but they're only visible in direct sunlight.

This pictures matches the paint real good.

The stickers are cut from vinyl.

If you like that shade of green, VW L94E Oak Green or Renault DNP Vert Olivette might be something for you.

I just used the old stick to the crank bolt trick and removed it while editing the pictures.
