Hello,
I have ordered 2 weeks ago a M06 frame from Melody (DengFu), 17.5 inches with 12x142 rear axle.
Also ordered it painted neon green with matt finish.

Allready have a 165x38 Fox DPS Kashima and a Fox 32 FIT 4 series 29er fork.
Going to use XT brakes with XT rotors.
Sram Eagle GX 12 speed drivetrain with 32t ring
DT Swiss 350 hubs, DT Swiss Revolution spokes and ZTC Crest Mk 3 rims
Got some continental xking 2.2 tires.
All i can do now is wait for the frame to arrive :)
-
Sounds like a nice build ! Really happy with my m06 (although its standing sad in the garage waiting for new crank and shock spareparts)
Btw, did you get any information if the frame was in stock and ready for paint or if it will be produced ?
-
It took about 4-5 days to get the frame to the paint shop. So i gues it wasn't in stock and i had to be produced.
Another 5 days for painting and then it was shipped.

The shipping went fairlu fast for me, took around 7 days so you shouldnt need to wait too long.

So got the wheels built.
Dt Swiss 350 hubs
Dt Swiss Revolution butted spokes
Stan's No Tubes ZTR Crest Mk3 32H 29er rims
They came at 1540g. I'm super happy :)

You'll love the bike! I've been riding mine for about a month now and it' the best bike i've ever owned!!!
-
And the frame just arrived :)
Let the asembly begin :)
-
That frame looks good!
Great they got the brake route sorted.
-
Is the bottle cage mounting holes fixed too?
Comparing that photo with some of the other ones ( eg. Steve's), it looks like they've moved them a bit closer to the bottom bracket
-
I don't know yet, got it 3 hours ago :)
They do seem to be moved abit closer to the BB.
-
Looking good :) It sure looks like the bottle cage holes are further down then on mine (ordered end of June-17)
-
Probably lower that mine as well. I've had mine for about a month.
-
Mounted the BB and the headset.
Still waiting for bars, stem, seatpost and saddle.
-
Looking very good so far, with a matching Fox fork! :)
-
Yeah, when i saw the fork listed on ebay i knew i had to have it.
Worse thing was that the seller didn't want to ship it to Romania. So i had a friend to recieve it in England and then ship it to Romania ...
Atm i am looking for bushings for the rear shock. Looks like i have 22.2x8 .
-
So i don't know if anyone said but the dimensions for the bushings are 22.2x8mm on the linkage and on the top part of the frame 21.84mmx8 .
Just got the bushings so i am going to start building it tomorrow :)
Will come back with pictures.
-
Man I love that green frame and fork combo.. looks really good. Makes me kinda wish I would've went with a color scheme rather than all black.
Looking forward to the build!
-
Any news on the build?
-
The build is very slow :) i hope that by the end of the month will be fully built :)
-
So build is kinda complete. Need to put the cables for the remote lockout and the pedals.
So, without pedals 10.65 kgs, with remote for the fork and shock .
-
The build is complete, 11.1 kgs with pedals and everything.
I managed to destroy 1 of the screws that is holding the rear shock. To get it out of the black rocker link i hit it with a screw driver and somehow it enlarged and now it enters very hard in the eyelett of the shock and once mounter, the shock has play on the bolt.
The bushing of the shock is ok, the rocker arm doesn't have play with the bolt mounted... it got play between the shock and the bolt :(
-
On my M06 i have just a little play between the diameter of the bolt and the diameter of the hole in the rocker arm. The bolt diameter trough the the shock is spot on. I'm not worried about it as it does not affect the travel nor the dampening of the shock. You only notice it when the rear suspension is completely unloaded and even with that it's just a faint clicking sound.
-
Thanks for answering. I don't like any kind of play :) It has to be spot on for me.
Pics with the bike :)
