Both dengfu and tantan have very similar cockpits for example but i cant find the i tegrated stem option from the picture. Im lokking for the specific stem name/widely available for where to buy it. Every company ive seen only has it in 120mm. Lightcarbon has the same bar/stem setup as shown. If anyone can help track down if theres a 130/140 option id really appreciate it!

Hey guys, bought the tantan x34 which looks like a trek madone, different seat post and handlebar setup.

Some of you guys may consider this an endurance geometry, but im 6'7 and I need 600+ stack and 600+ reach, this is about as aero as I can comfortably go.

So here's the review. There's 4 things I'd like to talk about, three are important, one is a nuisance.

1. The seat post is so wide/thick, it won't fit into my clamp-style maintenance stand. I have a stand like the PRS 3.3-1, same exact clamping mechanism. The top tube and seat tube are likely not going to fit either, but I never would try those two personally because its not meant to be used like that.
2. Because the seat post didn't fit I laid the frame on top of the clamping mechanism with towels but during installation they shifted, causing the aluminum to meet the carbon and rub, which hurt the paint job/chipped it, and so forth. Now on a more expensive name-brand frame the paint job is likely going to be better and not have this happen, but this paint job looks solid, but it's not that durable. I hit it lightly with an Allen wrench by mistake moving the wrench from a chair to the handlebar area to tighten it and I chipped the top tubes paint.
3. The front derailleur is slightly misaligned, at least on mine and in my experience. I don't know if mines just a defect. Its probably not an issue if you run mechanical because boomaye on here ran ultegra on the dengfu r12, which I had/have (broken). I, on the other hand, with force etap axs have to use an angled spacer. https://osymetricusa.3dcartstores.com/ANGLED-WEDGE-SPACER_p_47.html
4. The seat post has been slipping, ive been 5+ miles from home where it's slipped down to the bottom and I look like an idiot riding it. The way I remedied this is by putting scotch tape (masking/tan tape) in-between the wedge and the seat post, the sticky part is against the wedge. This can be because the wedge isn't rough, its smooth so there isn't a lot of friction to help it, or the seapost/frame isn't properly made, but the little hack I talked about has been working for the last 100-150 miles without flaw. The seat post also comes with that sandpaper-type thing glued/built into it, but doesn't change the fact it slips. been torqued to spec (6 nm, assuming 6 is the proper tightness, don't feel like trying higher) and with carbon paste.
The handlebar/cockpit setup is just like the dengfu r12, in fact I think the handlebar is from the same exact supplier, nothing proprietary about it. If I needed I could use a spacer from my r12 on here, but I don't need to.
Overall though, bikes held up, it's extremely twitchy, disc brakes line up fine, nothing else to really talk about. Any questions feel free to comment.

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Yishun R068D
« on: May 23, 2022, 09:29:26 AM »
Looking for the next bike build, and this crossed my eye, fits my geometry in a 58. Anyone know what this is meant to be a replica/pay homage to? It looks a hell of a lot like a venge but the geometry doesnt quite equal it.

almost looks like a merida reacto, one difference i can see is that the seatpost/seattube connecting area isnt as fat in the fm339 but has that recessed headset.

Looking for a road bike with the above, i don't want a gravel bike, i want an aero race bike, so if theres some chinese one out there that fits that bill let me know.

Yoeleo R21 and Dengfu R12 are off the table.

« on: February 15, 2022, 06:48:36 PM »
How long have your guys’ headsets lasted before needing replacing? How are you guys able to know if it needs to be replaced? Do you guys feel wobbly when descending?

Looking for some carbon wheels, 50-60mm deep, 1400-1450 20/24 is ideal, bitex novatech. choosing these over dt swiss for weight. also would like them to be sub $650. what are my options? ican and yoeleo are a bit expensive, dengfu heavy, elite wheels expensive. farsports too heavy/expensive. anyone got any input on which wheels would suit me best?

I convinced my brother to give chinese carbon a try given he only has a fuji cyclocross bike.

Will update this thread as needed.

Everything was roughly $1300-$1400, dt350, pillar spokes, 50mm deep. 54cm frame.
Frame looked great. Fork looks good as well, though the fork is flexible on the lower parts, more than id normally expect from a carbon fork, but i trust thats the way its meant to be.
He will be running rival axs.

Update: wheels came with 3-4 cracks in the carbon where the nipple meets. Most likely due to overtightening. Shipping also damaged the hub. Purely cosmetic, small ding on the nds, COMPLETEY cosmetic.

Update: first they asked to get it fixed at a lbs and ship us a new set of rims, but it costed them too much they said.
So they let us ship it back to them, theyll cover shipping both ways And replace the hub. So far pretty stand up guys, no issues so far! Pretty happy with this because i was hoping for a painless experience building up this bike for my brother, but the guys at lightcarbon so far have made this issue very tolerable.

I like the frames where the cockpit is integrated into the frame like the bikes listed above, anyone got any full internal bikes with hidden cables like those listed? I already have one with a handlebar and is integrated but i like haow the handlebars recessed and almost built into the frame.

In case anyone was curious yoeleo (r9 i think?) is miraclecyclings CR08. They also have the r12 version but i was looking at the r9. From what i can put together yoeleo just rebrands miraclecycling.

Miracles cr08 is $699 plus shipping. Yoeleo is at $1379.

It amazes me its almost double the price and youre paying for maybe better qc, a nice paint job, and a warranty.
At that price id just go winspace and call it a day.

Wondering if you guys have seen frames that look similar in terms of geo as used in the tour, for instance, something that looks like the v3rs, or maybe a focus izalco max, trek emonda/madone.

Also interested in a merida reacto geometry, a supersix/systemsix, willier slr,  and factor geometries.

Obviously not going to copy them and have a fake version, but i do like the geometry and curves some of them resemble.

Im looking for a bike thats about 61 cm, with the two units in the title thats fully integrated (other than front brake) rim brake. Anyone got any ideas? I went on miraclecycling and i found a 59 but i dont know the geo (cant find it)

Im wondering if through your guys browsing youve found something that is similar to those numbers. I can handle a TAD shorter but most seem to stop at 58cm ish. Let me know, thanks!
