Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056

That is correct.  The spacers are the FSA ones.  I found that the FSA spacers were much easier to install than the carbonda supplied ones.  The locking mechanism is really solid and you can adjust the headset spacers while the handlebars and cables are still installed.

Thanks Zrider, I tried to find those spacers on FSA's website but failed. I wonder if these are still available?
I also wonder what weight your set up it? I can't get a weight from Carbonda for size 58, I am kind of guessing 1200 considering 54 is stated as 1050 on their website. Fork appears to be on the heavy side, is 480+/-15 about right?

EDIT:Here's a pic of the mini-group and the frame as it stands ready to be built up- if there's any interest, I'll post pics of the complete build probably tonight or tomorrow. BTW, nice to meet you all, my name is Dmitry.

Second picture. I really like the nomenclature of your parts storage system.  8). How does a drawer earn the s**t classification?

I just finished my build of this frame with the integrated handlebars.  I ended up having to order the FSA ACR headset and spacers as the bearing and race in the Carbonda headset did not sit flush in the fork/frame interface.

Just to double check, the spacers shown on the picture are from FSA, right?

Thanks!

Congratulations on this really nice set up, I am sure you have been enjoying your bike already quite a bit. Do you mind sharing some more details?
What is the exact model FSA ACR headset and what is the overall weight of the bike and how heavy is the wheel set you have chosen?

Thanks,
Rick

Metal Frames / Aluminium Gravel Frame
« on: September 27, 2020, 12:13:05 AM »
Hi All,

Looking for sources for an Aluminium Gravel Frame. Most seem to offer carbon nowadays.
Ideally with thrus, flat mount disc, tire size up to ~44mm with tapered carbon fork option and unfinished/painted . Seems to be really hard to find. Any pointers?

Thanks,
Rick

I spent only 220$ for Frame and Wuzei carbon fork.

I'd be interested how this Wuzei carbon fork held up? I am thinking of purchasing a carbon fork from them in a configuration not many companies selling anymore:

are you still riding this frame? How well has it been holding up?

OK, good luck with the build then. I am considering their Carbon Cyclocross Fork since I ruined mine during restoration, but I am having nightmares purchasing a bad fork and nosedive mid ride. I could not find much comforting information about FLYXII out there on the internet. Did you come across some positive reports?
Cheers, Rick

PS, the frame you ordered seems very leightweight, certainly less than the carbonda alternative a lot of folks seem to go after these days..

Hi all,

I am researching a carbon cyclocross build and wonder if anyone has feedback after significant off-road use of their chinertown cyclocross bike. Background is obviously safety as I ride fire roads and even rocky trails with my current ride, which is Aluminium and I do hesitate to switch to carbon/chinertown carbon, especially since I am on the heavier side, ~190lbs.
So anyone out there with an ‘experienced’ cyclocross bike? If so, please share frame/fork and other details + good/bad feedback.

Cheers & Thanks,
Rick

Ray, how is the frame/fork holding up after several month of riding?

Cheers,
Rick
