Have anyone built up one of these frames? I'm thinking about building one myself with a set of carbon wheels. I'm curious how stiff and/or loose the frame is, especially side to side. I'm a bigger rider (6'3", 220lbs), so I'm a little anxious about it. Also curious for those that did build this up, what suspension did you go with (what size shock)?

Translation:
I already have my painting ready to ride, this weekend I will mount it to go and test it to see what behavior it has on the trails.

I'm really digging this frame. Could possibly be a replacement for my 062. :-X

That orange frame looks soo good! :)

The 27.5er forum is kinda dead, so I'm going to ask here:
I'm planning on building the 27.5er equivalent of this frame (WCB-M-109 / LCFS702). Do you think the SRAM XX1 Q156 would fit? I would be using the 170mm cranks and have relatively small feet (size 8 US). Thanks in advance!

HI, did you finally had the opportunity to ride this new wm 108 frame ?
i really would like to read your impressions.
thanks Jerome

Hi, I could not try the bike because of health problems.
The bike is assembled complete and finished with the following components:
Shimano xt group 1x11 34T and cassette 11-46
4-piston mt5 hydraulic brakes
Dt swis r24 wheels
Magenta ts8 elct 100mm
Shock absorber fox (the tincture tsr elect todabia did not come to me)
The weight of the bike remained at 10.7 kg, in the future not m, uy far away I will mount some carbon wheels mounted by me with a weight of 1300gr which will leave the bike in 10.2 kg

Any pictures? :)
-
Here you have a picture of how the bike was left.

very nice built ..!!

yesterday I could try a little and left me very surprised with the performance of this bike, very agile and very good performance on the climbs is as in the downhill. I am very happy with this frame

Is it possible to run the right hand rear shift cable on the left side of the frame for internal cabeling?

Yup, the shifter cables are free floating in the tubes, so you can configure them internally as you like.

Thank you.
I have ordered a frame from Peter :)

Have you considered the new LCFS904 ?

Wow, this almost looks exactly like Spark 2017.
-
Pay attention to the sock size.
For LCFS904, 165x40 is required. The frame has been designed for the new Sram Deluxe rear shock.
-
Between 165x40 and 165x38 you lose 5mm of rear travel.
This new frame is really enduroed compared to the LCFS902. Head angle is 67° with 100mm fork and wheel base is huge, these are extreme values for XCO and surely a frame meant to be ridden very aggressively, not for casual biker...

It's showing 100mm travel, while wheelbase is 2-3cm longer than the 902. Its funny that they copy other brands while mixing enduro/xc designs. The worst part is the brake cable routing, it does not makes sense for me.

If they are going to ignore patents, why don't they just copy everything.

Hi Everyone, Ive been checking out this frame for a while and I'm ready to pull the trigger on it but don't know what size to order!! I'm 5'8" with a 30" inside leg. has anyone here got the small frame? what hight are you and what size did you go for? Cheers! ;)
-
Typically people who are 5'-8" with a 30" inseam would ride a med (17") frame.
-
I pilled the trigger on the cs-821 17.5 frame from peter in the end. All I can say is WOW, What a bike. I think its been mentioned before but the hardware on this is another level compared to my old china full sus. This has a shorter chain stay and slacker head angle than my last frame and its made such a big difference, I find myself hammering on the downhills now and really flicking it around corners. The power transfer to the rear is 10 times better on the ups, even with shock fully open!!
As far as the build went, it couldn't have been smoother, I picked the frame up at 6pm friday night and took it for its first spin around 10am the next morning. The bearings/bolts were all nice and tight and the cable routing was a piece of cake with draw throughs in place.
If anyone has any questions about this frame just hit me up, I'd be happy to help.
-
Looks like a really nice build, thanks for posting a few pics.

Your shock is a dedonair right?
What do you think of it on this frame, is pedal bob not too much cause of the biggest sensitivity?
-
Yeah, Ive got the debonair RCT3. I run it at 92psi (I'm 64kg/140lb) with 5 tokens and in the middle of the rebound. I keep it full open 99% as I barely notice any pedal bob at all and prefer to have the extra traction up my local climbs. the only time I set it to pedal is when I'm on the road. I never lock it out.
Some pics attached just to show how neat the cable routing is. I know I need to shorten the brake hose under the bb ;)
-
Ok thanks, i'm thinking about testing a debonair.
About air pressure with this frame i'm riding between 25 and 30% SAG, my conclusion is that going less than 25 is not good.
By the way you should protect your bottom bracket from cable rubbing or you'll get the carbon digged soon, especially by your rear derailleur cable.
