Received my copy (Disc) on Monday and also ordered a set of RC-50 wheels. Complementing it with Rival AXS the assembly was straight forward, but some points one should take care of (if not already mentioned somewhere in this thread).

When you fit a DUB/30mm axle you have to file down a protruding rivet that holds the bottom battery cover. Otherwise, you can't mount the axle straight. Just remove the bottom cover and you can access the rivet. The BSA threads seem to be cut post-mold and co-axial alignment/facing is fine. I had to remove some residuary debris and paint, but then you can screw in the bottom-bracket by hand easily and crank-axle fits smooth. Break mounts seem not to be machined but are sufficiently flat/parallel - no rubbing. What you have to take care of is the thread-insert holding the rear axle. It is fixed with a small screw that may get loose/lost. It can then happen that the insert rotates, and the axle becomes loose. Coming from the factory without it (!) apply thread-lock to the screw and check regularly. Overall quality of the frame seems fine, but time will tell. Test-drive today did not reveal any issues. The frame feels firm and with 28mm/5bar sufficiently comfortable (for a race bike). The handlebar seemed quite flexible when putting power into the bike, but I have no experience with the original, so that might be normal.

Someone having long(er)-term experience?

Lovely bike.

I just received this saddle from AliExpress. About $22 USD with free shipping. Other sellers have the same saddle, but this seller shipped quickly (arrived in about a week). I was originally planning to use this for my recent build, but it arrived late. This particular saddle is a tad short, but the sides curve down gently which seems more forgiving for those cyclists with thicc thighs or big a$$. Also the rear slants up allowing you to push your butt against it when going aero. The shorter saddle also has more space to maneuver if you like going super aero tuck. There's a slight texture to the finish and the quality is okay, but not worth showing off.

I'll report back when I get more ride time with it.

As a cyclist with those thickkkkk thighs, I appreciate the review.

For people  who ordered the zero offset seatpost, how much does it reduce the reach?

The geometry and mold might be the same, but the layup might not :)

5
any recommendations for extremely narrow saddles? I have a selle italia BOOST SLR , 143mm width, but it catches my thigh on the downstroke.

Thanks!

What were your issues with the build?

7
Do you have a link for the frame?

This bike is beautiful.

Which bigger chinese brand makes this frame? I would love an externally routed aero frame

Update : Price has been updated to reflect the current market . 1300USD.

@kongo

Very nice build.  Thanks for sharing the pix.

What height are you for the XXL frame size ?   I'm 5' 10"  & Chris@velo recommended an XL for this frame for me

For your next build, if you have paint issues again, this video was pretty good

Cleaning Bottom Bracket Threads With Basic Tools

He said he is 6'4

I totally agree with the confirmation bias.

I should have stated,

You SHOULDN'T compare a Toyota to a Lamborghini. Enjoy your Toyota, its a great car, but not a supercar.

And that's ok.

With that said, obviously it will feel sluggish compared to a frame that costs 10x the price, but i dont think its fair to velobuild, or any of these brands, to say their frame is sluggish.

I think it's important to use precise language. It is sluggish compared to the pinarello, not compared to frames in the same price range.

I hope I am coming off clearly..

How can you even use the word sluggish, without comparing it to a frame 5x the price???

What does sluggish mean?

If you want to compare this bike, please compare it to a similarly priced bike. You cannot pay 2000USD ,  and expect it to ride like a 15 000USD bike.

Nobody buys a Toyota corolla ( no offense) and expects it to drive like a Lamborghini.

Hi Everyone!

After a summer of enjoying my bike, it is time to sell it to purchase a time trial bike!

The frame is the the Longteng LTK-268D. Some say they are the OEM for velobuild. I cannot confirm! I know they used to be the OEM for Wiggle.

The LTK-268D is the same frame as the Velobuild 099. The color is glossy chameleon. It looks blue or purple

Size: 56

Wheels : Elite Wheels ENT Disc 60mm depth

Tires : Continental Gp5000 25mm

Saddle : Selle Italia Boost SLR

Handlebars: 380x90mm. I also have a set of 400x100 included for free.

Groupset: Sensah Empire 11 speed with 170mm cranks.

Power meter: Sigeyi axo power meter

Brakes : JUIN TECH F1 brakes 160mm

11-28 casette

The bike is currently built with the cables routed externally through the spacers. This allows you to change handlebars easily. To achieve this, I had to cut the spacers, as instructed by another forum member. I will also include a set of uncut spacers if you decide to route the cables inside the handlebars to achieve the clean look.

I also have an extra rear derailleur hanger.

The entire build was 4000$ CAD / 3000$ USD in November 2021.

The bike was used 70% on Zwift, 30% outdoors in 2022. A few scratches here and there. Nothing you can really spot unless you are really looking.

I am willing to sell it for 1300USD + shipping from Montreal,Canada. price is negotiable

I Bought a sigeyi on ebay. It failed after a few months. Contacted sigeyi and the seller. I had to send it back to China (100$CAD), and they sent me a new one. No issues since.
