Do you also offer the motor and battery, or will people need to source that separately?

For the seat post - Elita 1 again - pretty cheap and light.

If you want to save $ on the group, I would buy a nicer shifter and a cheaper derailleur, as the shifter determines the shift quality more.

Hi,

nice report! I was wondering what made you choose this particular frame, compared to brands with similar offerings that you know already (e.g., Carbonda 936 or 909)?

Cheers

Love it! I recently built a Carbonda FM1001 for my wife. Your daughter is lucky!

If it's not too big for her: the Elita1 Specialized Power clone is an amazing deal. <120g for the saddle, padded, costs about $20-25. I also had good luck with Toseek carbon handlebars.

+1 on the suggestion to have it painted by Carbonda. I have had good experience with it. The color scheme I had them do wasn't super simple, and cost $245 ($155 painting, $90 for decals). If you want to see the design, it's further up the thread

Thank you! The pro 3 is what I had in mind, but hadn't seen it on aliexpress.

I'm looking for a good hip pack for MTB from Aliexpress. Any recommendations are welcome.

Thanks

But damper on R232 is probably too simple for this kind of bike, no?

Nor sure, why? My wife is 57kg ang not super aggressive.

By luck, I seem to have hit it well then with the R232 shock from DT Swiss, which they say has a progressive curve.

Thanks, make a lot of sense.

Sidebar: I enjoy enduro-mtb as a mag - nice pictures, etc. But boy, do they over-focus on little details and cut short the discussion on more substantive topics. Like that they find the handlebar too wide (cut it down, that's personal preference), or their always recurring point on casings...

Interesting, thanks for sharing.

Isn't the support of the suspension a lot related to the shock tune? If I recall correctly, the FM1001 doesn't have an unusual leverage curve?

Matte white will be about the most difficult color to keep looking good. Should look bring, though, when it is :-)

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Electric pump recommendations?

Thanks! Size isn't my concern - it won't come with me on the bike, but stay in the car. I'm looking for the fastest inflation, really. I read about the Fumpa pump being very fast, but it's beyond what I what to spend ($150).

Component Deals & Selection / Electric pump recommendations?
« on: March 21, 2024, 09:42:39 AM »
Hi,

Thinking of getting an eletric pump to carry in the car for MTB outings. I was wondering if the Xiaomi S2 (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805884734731.html) the still recommended option? I also saw ZTTO makes one (https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256806271607618.html), but can't find much about it.

Thanks in advance for tips!
