E-Bike Frames & Builds / Re: light carabon LCES004 build

I ordered a bafang m600 motor for the frame and a 600wh btf04 battery. They're going to take some time getting here  though so I have a couple months to gather the rest of the parts.
Did you order through Aliexpress/Alibaba ?

Hehe they are there, the gf didn’t want to add them to the pic, “it’s will look like a cable mess” I quote xD

We’re reusing her 11speed nx and sram level T for now :) well enough for her need and keep the build price lower

She may have modest needs, but she has a manual machine already :D

Thought I had better check for some of the issues that have been discussed on the forum and sure enough the lower pivot bolt is nearly 82mm - one clean cut with a hacksaw will fix that! Any other 'niggles' I should be looking for?

Did anyone reported that issue to Wing already?

A bit of bike p*rn.

Build is ready at 99%, waiting on shock hardware lol… always the little things.

Some of the things on that picture will change soon , still waiting on them to arrive like new cockpit and new dropper but not urgent for now
Maybe some brakes and shifter too ;D
Have fun for your build !

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Frame suggestion

...I'm delighted both with the 1056 frame...Full internal cable routing is nice...

Did you post some pictures of the internal routing?
I quickly scanned the forum but couldn't find any.
I'm thinking moving the components of my Canyon to that frame next season, and do the internal routing.

This is a tank ready for everything !
I look forward for your test ride on trails.
Can you get a full compression of the shock ?

Are you designing/sewing the bags yourself ?
What sewing machine do you have for that ?

...I 3D printed my own bracket...
That is a well designed option. Thanks !!
What material did you use to 3D print it ?
I started to use Fusion360(a great software) to do these kind of things  8)

In my quest for having two bottles with me for marathon rides.

Anyone tried this kind of mount ?
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32975689555.html

It allows to have two bottles side by side.

Is Chinatown offensive?
Although I don't really know what "Chiner" is supposed to mean in this context though..

It comes from 29er I think.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Bearings
« on: June 01, 2021, 04:11:21 AM »
Headsets(bottom) and BB bearings tend to die whatever their quality, as I ride in the wet.
The cheap ones from Aliexpress are fine for that. And I change them when dead.

All other bearings for wheels, pedals and pivots, either SKF or Enduro depending on the online price and availability.

If you live in Benelux you may look at https://www.kogellager-express.nl/
EDIT: I just saw the £... but it may help others

If it can help you in a way.
I'm 10cm shorter than you, but just 2cm inseam less.
And I'm with a M with a 60mm integrated stem/bar.

With an XL, your saddle will be much lower than me in the frame, the reach is just 45mm longer than M.
So if you select a shorter stem, you get even more flexibility to fit the bike well.

Same thing happened when I asked about a specific color.  Just their stock ones in glossy or matte or the chameleon color.

Alas... few years ago they were coming with their limited colors, but were ok to paint it in any color.
Other builders still do.
