Re: New here, but not new to china bikes... But looking for some additional info They were a bit spammy on this forum and a bit more expensive.
Just yesterday, the sulfureux Hambini received one, and did a very nice review of their aero disc bike.
Telling it was very well made.
Well... like many frames we discuss here.
It is funny seeing people discovering what we know for years  8)

I use complete mechanic Shimano Ultegra 2x11 setup with 8020 STI, front derailleur and GS rear derailleur with 11-32 cassette. Shifting is as I said very smooth and fast. It was a bit tight to mount on my novatec freehub but I already removed it once for free hub exchange (so no issue with the fitting, just my freehub died).

And also di2 Ultegra  (but this cassette only travelled 300km so far) with 11-34 cassette. Here it is quite interesting to note, that the 11-34 sroad does not use a spacer as the Shimano 11-34 does. So it will only fit to 11s road freehubs.
I have to admit I was critical about a cassette from China. But since 11-34 is not available  almost since 2 years now... I think it's a very nice alternative. Also the colors are hot.... golden and rainbow look both very nice

Re: Racework road crankset issues Hi guys, two very good questions!

Yes I always set the preload with the pinch bolts loose, I can even see the crank arm gets moved a bit and some of the play is removed, but it quickly bottoms out and there's still 1 or 2mm left of loose that I can move from left to right by hand.

I didn't measure the width of the BB, but good point, I might have to use the one provided with the crankset, I expected it to be the same as a Shimano one since the diameter was hollowtech compatible (24mm). I'll do that and come back right away.

You should see the hackish way I "preloaded" the whole thing with a wood clamp just enough so that's no play and it spins freely and tightening the pinch bolts. When I did that I could clearly see the axle protruding from the NDS crankarm and the preload thing pushing against nothing.

I'll try and take some pictures tonight.

Re: ZRACE RX dub crankset... preload? I've got this crankset on 2 bikes, one with BSA68 and one with BB86, both used with ZRACE BB's.  You are correct that there is no preload adjustment.  If I remember right, there's a wave washer to take up the slop, which buys you just a tiny bit of room for error.  I couldn't find info on which size spacers were needed where, so I installed the crank with no spacers and centered the cranks, then measured the gaps.  The gap was a nominal value which matched what was included in the ZRACE BB, and when torqued up with spacers there was no slop, but also no excessive drag.  So it worked out in my case, but I could also see that if there's manufacturing tolerances in the BB shell that there could be issues.

Re: Racework road crankset issues Hi guys, sorry for the late reply,

I ended up measuring the cups again, and I noticed the ones that came with the BB are around 0.75mm thicker on each side, which is definitely something I missed!

I removed the Shimano cups and used the ones that came with the BB, and now the preload works perfectly fine without using any spacers. So I was right in thinking that the spacers are really for installing the BB on a mtb wide frame, but I was wrong in thinking the cups were always the same width. I usually disregarded those BBs that came with aliexpress cranksets as from my experience the bearings die very quickly, but maybe it's possible to just replace them with better bearings in the future...

Anyway thanks for the help guys!
