Title: Question before starting a build
Post by: venmod on November 20, 2015, 11:14:31 AM
I now have all the part, I hope, in hand for building.  I just tore down the frame to grease all the pivots.  While doing this I am noticing that there is a part on the lower pivot near the bottom bracket that looks like it is just for mounting I would guess the front derailleur.  I am planning on running a 1X11 XT set up so I don't need it.  It does not look like it is for retaining any of the pivot material.

Is this needed for a 1x11?

The piece right under the second E in SPEED.

Thanks,

Paul

Not needed for 1x11, I removed mine and put the two screws back in the holes.
