Re: Tan Tan GR040 Build
I just purchased the same frame from Lightcarbon and I was wondering if you already finished to build the bike and if you found any problems with it.

Re: Magene P325 CS - First Impressions I have the older version of the magene power meter and I'm very happy with it.
In my case the power meter came in a ultegra cranckset so the chainrings are the standard Shimano ones.
After using it nearly two years I only had to change the batteries once (mine are not rechargable) and they had been working faultless.

In terms of accuracy I only can compare them with the power meter of my wahoo kicker core and the readings are very similar but as you said I only use the data with my olds rides so it is very useful to see if I'm improving or not.

I'd recommend it too.

Re: Velobuild GF-002 Hello,

I recently bought the same frame but made by Lightcarbon, not sure what is the difference in between them, but mine looks very well done, the only difference is that lightcarbon sells the bike with or without the integrated handlebar and I bought without it but with a very nice stem and spacers that hide the cables.

Unfortunately I still can't finish to build because of I'm not having too much time after my son was born, but I have to let yoy know that I'm struggling a lot with the routing of the outer cables in the area of the headset because of the small gap availale in between my stem and the spacers.

I guess the bike is designed to work with hydraulic brakes and Di2 or AXS groupsets and once I already routed all the outer cables the cables doesn't move completely free.

At the moment I removed some material of the spacers and I will give it a go as soon as I can.

If you want me to show some pictures showing wat I had to do I could attach them here but first I wanted to make sure that the mod works, otherwise I think I will have to change to a standard stem and handlebar.

Re: Velobuild GF-002 Hi All,

I finally finished the build of the my bike.

I'm not totally happy with the feeling of the cable actuated hydraulics brakes because I had to swap the outer cables from the jagwire compression less for a cheap Clarks that were quite more flexible and allow me to fit them through the headset without kinking.

I will give a bit if time testing the bike and if the biting don't improve I will take it to the bike shop to have some advice.

A part from that during the short ride that I did to try all was working fine the bike rides very comfortable.

Re: Integrated Handlebar Hello everyone, I thought it could of your interest that lightcarbon has a stem that can be used with any handlebar and it is designed to be used with hidden cables frames.

I choose that stem when I purchased my frame from lightcarbon because I prefer the adjustability of separate stem and handlebars. I had several problems to route the cables inside of my frame due the small room available on the top spacer of the steerer but after a bit of a trim all run smooth now.

When I bought my frame the seller (very responsive and helpful) told me that in case that the stem that came with the frame wouldn't fit they sell the stems a part even if there is not shown on their web.

I posted in a thread about the gf002 explaining my problems and there you can see how it looks once the built is finished. http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,3499.0.html

I hope you will find it useful

Re: Sensah SRX 2x?? Hello,

I ran an SRX groupset but I didn't like the massive steps in between gears running 1x, so I bought a empire left hand shifter and a derailleur.
After asking in a group someone told me the RH shifter is the same just with a different name on it.
The rear derailleur a part from the adjustable spring it is a quite longer cage, apparently it can take up to 52t cassette ( i only use with a 46t) and the empire can take up to 34t.

Now with the 2x I use a 36t cassette and it will quite better than with the 46t.

Have a good ride

Re: Sensah SRX 2x?? Hi there,

I found a deal in aliexpress for $50 for the LH shifter and the front derailleur, for that price it's not worthy to spend your time trying to find the part required and install the parts on the shifter to make the SRX shifter work as a 2x, at least for me. The only downside it is that I hate to have different logos on the shifters.

Re: First Road Bike Build I have been using the Ultegra press fit BB and the another kind of threaded press fit and the difference in longevity has been enormous. With the Ultegra BB the bearings failed after one year and a half with I have been using since then I installed that type on all my bikes (one gravel lightcarbon and my road bike Orro Venturi) and they never failed in 3 years.
But to be honest the brand that I use is Token and not the AliExpress version.
