$10 for the headset & $12 for the axle. X-Fusion O2 RCX 190/51mm shock This spacer kit (1/2X1/2-Inch 23.0x8-mm) worked perfectly with the stainless bolt: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0030HOTIO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Had to scrape some glue from the brake mount threads. Also had to buy two M6x16 bolts from Lowes. There's not enough thread depth to support a longer bolt. Made payment on 11/8/2020. Box was handed to shipping 11/21/2020. This frame's geometry is almost exactly the same as my FM10 except that the reach is about 0.5" shorter and the effective top tube length is 1.5" shorter. Also I had a 140mm travel fork on the FM10 vs 150mm on the FM1001. The FM10 felt like riding a chopper at times when I first got it. This bike feels completely different and seems to have a shorter turning radius. A few times going down drops the front wheel has gotten a little squirrely since my weight was so far forward on the fork. The steering is much more responsive all around and I'm still learning to use the improvement in control. Beyond that the change from X-Fusion to top tier Rockshox has been the biggest difference. The ability to lay down power over rocks and roots makes the ride much more relaxed and saves energy. I have more confidence in keeping traction through rough turns and the load on my arms and shoulders has decreased significantly. I added the RWC roller bearing to the top shock mount. The drag on the suspension was surely insignificant to the shock response but it just bugged me.  It's around 28.4 lbs with pedals. October 24, 2022, 06:14:19 PM |

Stay away from TanTan. The BB on my FM10 is delaminating after less than two years. The top shock mount bolt broke and they sent the wrong size for a replacement. Then they played stupid and we went round and round even though I sent them pictures with dimensions. Some Chinese play stupid when you catch them cheating or they don't want to fulfill their obligations. It's in the business culture. I finally found a local machinist to fix it for $50. When I told them about the delaminating BB I got crickets. Also the frame had some issues with finishing that I had to overcome and cheap grommets. The holes in the chain stay weren't large enough for BH90 brake hose so I had to route it externally with zip ties. October 26, 2022, 06:45:50 PM |

Now I've found that since the BB hole is not round the bearing race gets distorted and causes the bearings to drag and fail prematurely. I've decided to attempt a repair with carbon fiber and epoxy and an adjustable hand reamer. The blades on the reamer are 105mm long so I should be able to ream both sides at once and keep things lined up. The BB92 shell has to be 40.98mm to accommodate the 41mm BB.

You can see why the FSA bearing would sit deeper in the head tube and would be more stable. The bearing retainer above the bearing is what really needs more stability though.
