Who currently carries/sells the lightest full-suspension XC 29er frame?

I finally found a brake caliper that fits through much trial and error.  Finding a caliper that fits on this frame should have been made easier by Peter and his design engineers.   :(

Thank you Gareth79!  I will look into that caliper.  I still am waiting for Peter and his design engineers to inform me on the specific brand(s)/type(s) they know will fit their frame.  I sure hope Peter comes through!

I have asked Peter for his help and he initially responded to my emails, but these past 2 weeks he has been silent.  I have requested if he could ask his design engineers about what specific brake calipers should be used or if Peter can send me some pictures of a completed bike with brakes.  Peter hasn't sent me any information.  He told me to ask on Chinertown and on MTBr forums.

My Impression of Peter was that he was honest, but his recent actions are painting a different picture.  :( All I want is his assistance to find the correct resolution.  As of right now it appears there is a design flaw in my specific frame.

Yes exactly!  Even with the wheel removed the caliper does not fit.  The caliper is hitting the seatstay and the seatstay is restricting the proper mounting of the caliper.

Hi Carbonazza,

I'll look into your suggestion.  What type of caliper would be used with this adaptor?  Thanks for your continuing support!

Hello.... both 2-piston and 4-piston calipers have been tried to fit with no success.  Also mechanical and hydraulic with no success.

What type of adaptor could be utilized?  Thanks.

The diameters of the rotor discs that have been tried are 140mm, 160mm, and 180mm.  The caliper still doesn't fit.

Should the actual brake mount be on the seatstay and not on the chainstay?

Hey guys,

My issue still isn't resolved.  Peter told me to ask what type of brakes everyone else has used on their CS-156 27.5???

This is what my bike mechanic said:

If you look at any full suspension bike the brakes are mounted on the seatstay.  I've tried putting on Avid bb5, Shimano BR315, Avid Juicy, and Magura.   The brake caliper won't sit flush with the holes because the seatstay is preventing the brake to sit correctly.  None of the rear brake calipers will sit correctly because the left seatstay is not allowing any caliper to mount correctly or inline with the brake mount bolts.

Any help is appreciated!

Hello Carbonazza,

I have attached a picture of the issue.  Also, thank you for pointing me in the correct direction to Peter.  I just sent an email to Peter who I originally purchased the CS-156 from.

Has anyone purchased a CS-156 27.5er from Peter at all?  I ask because I have encountered an issue with the frame.  Basically, the rear brake caliper is not sitting correctly.  Even with different brake calipers, the frame's left seatstay is not allowing for any caliper to be mounted correctly or inline with brake mount bolts.  I have emailed Peter numerous times peter@xmiplay.cn and I am not obtaining any resolution from him.
