1st Ride Review Climbing - Climbs HEAPS better than my 2016 275 HT. Minimal to no pedal bob. Things that I could not do before I am able to do with ease now.  So far cannot fault climbing.Descending - Amazing! Did not have any sketchy moments thinking I was going OTB etc. Im still getting use to newer geometry so I have to remember no need to lean back as much as I had to on my old Hard Tail (shorts scrapped the back wheel a few times) Can pretty much point the bike down at any line and it just eats everything up Still need to tweak the Fork & Shock a little, but I think im almost there. Note: The standard free colour the bike comes with does pick up/show oil, fingerprint marks etc. So, if anyone was considering this frame, prob better to get a custom paint job April 20, 2022, 10:12:45 PM |

Its only the first frames that have the flex issue , The new frames with the upgraded rear triangle are great I only have one ride on the upgraded triangle and it is already night and day a better riding bike. Super supple similar to the double bearing JJJ bolt mod, it is a similar design, and actually has the proper amount lateral stiffness. The original triangle was my only complaint and I'm hoping that it is solved now - need a few more rides to be sure but I am impressed so far. June 11, 2022, 06:44:39 PM |

did you get a new frame or just the rear triangle? what came with the rear triangle? I did this also, had the old rear triangle with JJJ bolts and ordered the new triangle. Building another LCFS947, this one in size M. But cassettes and rear derailleurs are impossible to buy for the moment. (Shimano SLX)Your build looks great! Finished my AM831 last week and took it for a first ride yesterday. There is some fixing left to do, some squeaking sounds to identify. But the bikes feels very, very nice to ride on technical trails.

On the FS830 Frames was the solution to eliminate the squeaking sound, to implement a screwable bottom braked BB86-92 eg. from Ztto and remove the bearings into Enduro bearings. Just got the initial paint proofs back from Katie at Carbonda. Zooky, I appreciate you taking the plunge first. At 100 kg, I should be able to give you some idea of durability though am really just getting started with local enduro runs and tend to shy away from huge drops and jumps. I went with pastel orange. Maybe a little lighter in color than I was envisioning but I think it'll look good with some dirt on it. Will keep you posted.
