No i did not. I haven't had time yet as this is the busy season for work. I went off geometry specs but i do believe the pivot point compared to the Yeti is a little lower so i'm sure the anti-squat numbers aren't as good.Yep, you're right. Rainy day, so I drew it on Linkage and the anti-squat was not that great, neither the progression. I added it to Linkage library if you're curious to check.
So, looking at this frame more closely it seems it's based off the new Yeti ASRc. Understanding it is a single pivot design i'm wondering if that's a step backwards as most "modern" designs are of the floating type suspensions. The redesigned Yeti has received good reviews and looking the frame up on Linkage Design, it has good antisquat numbers as well as pedal kickback and braking squat. I wonder how similar this frame would feel
Anyone..........anyone..........hello, Mcfly???
My solution was to put a side loader bottle cage. That allows for small bottles to fit.I think the bottle cage holes should have been made lower.Definitely this, my backwards mounted shock barely clears the bottle. Maybe you should try lower sitting cage or a zip tie, like what Steven did.
Quote from: charlesrgBy the way, I'm running 2.35 tires on it without rub, I think that's as wide as it would take.
Are the Ikon 2.35 true to size?Quote from: charlesrgMy IP036 was running on 100mm. The travel on this is the same. The bike is lower to the ground but travel is same. The big difference here is climbing and reduced the rear wheel play.
I'm running X-King 2.4 on my 036 (they are true to size) and sometimes when I corner really hard the rear end flex so much that the tire rub on the chainstays. So if the rear of the M06 is stiffer, it's good news.
The 036 is often speced at 110-120mm of rear travel. Do you feel any difference with the 100mm of the M06 or it seems to have the same amount of travel as the 036?My IP036 was running on 100mm. Depending how hardcore you want to go on Enduro. Usually enduro guys 120mm or more. I would put this bike more on the XC category.I tried 100 forks at first then went to 120m fox 34s seems to really suit the frame for me ......loving his bike so far.
I'm looking at this frame as well and was going to build it with a 120mm fork. Do you feel it makes the bike feel more enduro like or is it just as quick and nimble as a xc bike? I would like the bike to still be quick and nimble but also want to take advantage of a little more travel and slightly slacker geometry. Yes, i want my cake and eat it too
When comparing to the 057 the bike just climbs better even with the added weight. 24 vs 21
Questions please let me know.
So, i have an 057 as well and it climbs very well. You feel the M06 climbs even better? That would mean the pedaling efficiency is really good! Do you feel any pedal bob under load?
The more you ride the better you'll like it. I also have the rear spacing out a few mm and at first had a bit of ghost shifting but i tracked it down to the full cable where it goes under the the BB at first i had zip ties around the cables to stop rubbing on the BB.
I replaced inner and outer cable and ran a piece of plastic tubing over the cable in a arch where it passes from the main frame to rear so it can move freely with the suspension and it now has crisp gear change.

Looks really good! I'm really curious how this frame compares to the 036.Definitely an upgrade in terms of linkage. The geometry is very different, two different beasts.
When you finish your build and feel like you know the bike, I'd be really interested in a thread comparing them. Not only the geometry, but ride quality too!

I'm pissed that my bb30 xx1 crankset won't fit my new frame that's bb92.Long spindle version can be fit to BB92 using RF cinch 30mm BB92 bottom bracket, albeit with some elbow grease. I did that today, but no idea how reliable this setup will turn out. Had to grind down plastic washers a bit, that's the only way to preload bearings and eliminate lateral play. Wheels MFG and RWC seem to offer similar products. I've been running same cranks on a 73mm english threaded bb and Rotor BSA30 cups, thanks to Chinertown too.
