Hi, anyone using the new 2017 SID world cup carbon 1360gms 100mm? Tempted to pick one up this week £845!!!! ;D
-
New SID installed, didn't like the white decals but the stealth decals were in the box so did a quick change. First ride out on them tomorrow running one token and 68psi ;D 8)

Nice! I do wish they kept making it in a 120mm flavor.

@Rick, do tell how it rides compared to your previous fork (a Reba?). Too bad they don't offer a 120mm anymore, I'd really like something as tunable and light as SID to drop some weight from my heavy-ish Marvel Pro in order to achieve a sub-9kg build.

This explains the theory behind the demise of the 120 SID

And another great review http://singletrackworld.com/2017/10/review-rockshox-sid-world-cup-100mm-29er-fork/

Mine is at 8.9kg withe the SID and Rocket Rons, with the rigid carbon fork and Thunderberts its sub 8kg

By the way, R2-bikes has this fork on sale for 550EUR right now (https://r2-bike.com/ROCK-SHOX-Suspensionfork-29-SID-Worldcup-SA-100-mm-tapered-51-mm-Offset-white-2017).

First ride tonight and super impressed with the SID, when locked out the fork is absolutely rock solid, the trails were pretty sloppy on top but when we rode the dry sections the SID totally out performed the Reba, I had it set up light with a fast rebound for small bump compliance and just smashed through the rough and rooty sections.

Damn, maybe I should have got one while it was possible. I even woke up early to do that, what a tough luck.
