Re: BXT-MTB-097 build
Strange the DAIRSBIKE Store person told me that I will need Novatek NT-d462 rear hub if I want 12speed cassette
There's certainly a lot of confusion when it comes to freehubs.  The number of gears doesn't matter, the specific cassette does.  The older and more typical freehub (Shimano HG) works for all cassettes that use a freehub (so not old 7 speed freewheel cassettes) that use an 11t small cog.  So all 8/9/10 speed, and 11/12 speed cassettes that use an 11t small cog.  This includes SRAM NX 11 and 12 speed, and aftermarket cassettes like Sunrace.  The SRAM XD driver is used for SRAM 11/12 speed cassettes that use a 10t small cog, and aftermarket cassettes like E13.  The Shimano Microspline is used for Shimano HG+ cassettes, which is all of their 12 speeds.  The HG+ has a new updated tooth profile that's beneficial, so if your budget can accommodate, then it'd be worth finding a Shimano 12 speed cassette and Microspline freehub.  Not the end of the world if you stick with that groupset with Sunrace cassette and use an HG freehub.

For the frame where the fork will be they specify L=500mm
For that fork they specify 555mm. Minus 30% sag means 513mm
So my front of the bike will be probably around 10mm higher
Do you believe this is an issue?

Geo charts list extended A2C.  So the fork you specified is 55mm longer than desired.  That is too tall, will compromise geometry, and can have catastrophic results with the frame.  I would personally try to find a used fork from a name brand, those generic forks just don't have quality damping, similar to a low end Suntour.

What do you guys think about the brakes.
A friend of mine told me that 160mm front and rear disks may be too small?

Thanks
I use 160mm front and rear on my XC bike.  For my longer travel bike and aggressive hardtail, I prefer 200mm front and 180mm rear.  It's all preference.  It's not much weight gain to use larger rotors, so if you are going to be doing big downhills then it's worth it for the heat capacity.

Re: BXT-MTB-097 build Yes, the Markhor is a good match for the bike and is a very good fork for the price

Re: ZTTO 11-46 cassette 11 speed You are correct in the road world, 11 speed cassettes got wider and thus a longer freehub and 10 speed cassettes would need a spacer.  In the MTB world, 11 and 12 speed HG cassettes have the large cogs pinned together and the large cogs kind of sit over the inside end of the freehub, so it packs 11 or 12 cogs in the same 8/9/10 speed freehub.  Now that road groupsets are coming with wider range cassettes it gets a bit foggy, because the 11-28 to 11-32 cassettes are road, and 11-42+ are MTB (even if they come in a road groupset), not sure about mid range like an 11-36.

Re: newbie xc question Your best bet is probably Carbonda FM936, FM909, or Ican S3. Depends on how you like shock orientation and rear end pivot (S3 has a seat stay pivot but is a tad heavier). The other XC frames I k ow of, LCFS911 and Lexon Riot don't come in XL.

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Any thoughts from the peanut gallery?

Have you ridden a bike with a 77 degree seat tube angle?  The point of the "progressive" geometry is to get a longer more stable wheelbase, and put you in a better position for steep climbing, while keeping saddle to handlebar length in check (hence long reach, long wheelbase, but steep STA to bring the saddle closer to the bars).  If you went with a medium, you'd likely slam the saddle rearwards, because the top tube is 30mm shorter than your large Revolver.  The large will give you similar top tube length to your Revolver, but with your body more forward and over the pedals.  It's a different feeling, but is the true intention of the bike.

What are your body dimensions?  I'm 5'10.5", so I'm also right in the middle of everyone's medium and large size charts, but I have shorter legs (about a 31" inseam) and long arms (around 6'1" arm span).  If I went for an FM936 I think I'd be inclined to go with a large, with the main downside being the 490mm seat tube length.  If you have long torso and/or long arms, then it will push you towards the larger bike, and vice versa.  For reference, my GG Smash is 481mm reach, 77 deg STA, and 625mm top tube, and it actually feels a bit small to me with a 40mm stem.

Re: BTLOS vs DiyCarbonBikes From what I hear, DIY's customer service is non existent. I had a friend wait 9 months for a frame and they wouldn't respond at all. The owner kept deflecting and making up lies about it. I've heard many poor reviews on MTBR as well. I've heard nothing but good about BTLOS, I have one friend with a great experience.  I personally use SpeedSafe wheels, but they are a true AliExpress company without a polished website or local reps.

Re: Sensah SRX 2x?? Just curious, what makes the SRX derailleur special that would make you want to use it, with Empire shifters and front derailleur, why not just use a 2x11 Empire groupset?  The SRX derailleur isn't clutched or anything special, but I don't know what differences it has from the Empire derailleur.  What I do know, is that the most information on Sensah groupsets is the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/sensah/ maybe there's info in there already.  I know there was a big compatibility post, but I'm having a hard time finding it.

Here's some info https://www.reddit.com/r/bikewrench/comments/qj6t90/sensah_empiresrx_gravel_build_mix_match/
If true, Empire and SRX have the same cable pull.

Re: FM1001 / FM1156 - 135mm frame
Anyone else having trouble looking at those pics on a monitor?  They are so bloody big I see about 1 tenth of a pic on the screen at a time. (22" monitor)
Image sizing seems really bad in general on this site.  I usually right click photos and open in a new tab (in Chrome) and then it'll auto scale well.

Re: Carbonda Gravel Carbon frame CFR707 May depend on the size. But comparing medium to medium, the 707 has a 11mm longer reach than your RCX, and 1.5 deg slacker head angle. The head angle would push the front tire another 12mm forward. So you'd have 23mm more toe clearance than you have now.

Re: Lexon GFX Carbon Gravel Bike Frame Build
I think he's asking if the bearings fit properly on the second fork they sent you. The one with the incorrect paint job. Or did you need a different bearing?

Yeah that's what I was curious about. Because the installed pic of the painted fork on the matte frame looks like there's still a decent gap between the chamfer and the lower bearing.
