I discover this frame from BXT with a strange rear triangle, maybe softer than others? any advice?

Same here: http://www.winowsports.com/product/2022-Hard-tail-mtb-29er-boost-mtb-carbon-frame-MF056.html
Seems a fun 120mm travel HT frame.
-
do you thinks there is a micro flex effect?
-
With seatstays inserted this low on the seat tube, there will probably be a slight filtering effect.
Personally, I ordered it yesterday in size L, there are about ten days of production + around 3 weeks of shipping to France, so I can get back to you by the end of January.
-
Salut Robin ;) (j'suis sur Paris...)
pretty interested by the overall quality.
-
Salut compatriote ! ;)
I'm also curious about the build quality of this frame, usually I only take frames from reputable generic "brands", I've always found BXT a good cut below, but this one looks really nice .
-
what would be the set up / components for the bike.
I'm a little bit worried about the chain stay length that is 445 mm, maybe too much?
-
I'm not too worried about the chainstay length, I've had a frame with this one before and really didn't feel any difference with a 435mm chainstay frame for example. It will leave more room for the tires so it's not bad.
For the transmission I have a SRAM GX AXS groupset, Sid SL Select fork, carbon handlebar-stem combo, Elita or Reverb AXS seatpost depending on the terrain, Light-Ride carbon wheels with Goldix hubs (1205g), SRAM level ultimate brakes .
-
I ordered one on Ebay yesterday. Not sure when it will arrive but will be running it with a 140mm fork.
-
any update on this frame? how does the bike ride and how does it look?

Still waiting for mine. Delivery is mid Feb.
-
Mine should arrive within a few days, it just arrived at the destination country today.
-
it looks clearly inspired by the Scott Spark, eccept this does not have a rear suspension.
-
Well, suspension could be very well hidden ;D ;D ;D
-
Can't wait to see what you think, Robin. Very unique look and I'm interested.
-
The frame finally arrived at my house, the shipment was very fast (about ten days to France, without customs fees).
The finishes are very clean, the lines of the frame are pretty sharp and beautiful, for the assembly and the field test it will be in about ten days, I keep you updated ;)

Great news! Mine is delivered, just need to leave work to pick it up!
-
Frame is nice quality. Got it mocked up with a 140mm Recon.
Headset fits nicely and all the internal carbon work looks clean.
Only complaints are a few minor paint blemishes and the water bottle cage mounts are crooked.
-
I couldn't wait so I ordered mine too... lol
-
Clearly inspired on the scott spark without the rear shock. Not sure about the robustness of that design though....Load handling on those top pivot points. :o

We're going to find out this year! :O going to be interesting!

It will be very interesting.
Integrated bar/stem arrived today. Just waiting on wheelset and tires to come in the mail then the build can continue!
-
Mine is finally assembled, everything was done very easily, this is the first time that I have really had no problem assembling a bike. I will take some photos today to present the bike to you, even if it is nothing extraordinary. I find it beautiful despite everything!

-
Pleasantly surprised how fast delivery was... I got mine in just 6 days!

I picked up the BXT branded set on eBay when I bought my frame.
Looking like another week until wheels arrive for my build.
-
Any other builds happening?
Wheels are set to arrive Saturday then the build will start!
-
Size L frame (I didn't weigh it Mea Culpa), GX AXS groupset, X1 Dub crankset, carbon wheels fitted by me with internal 29mm Light-Ride rims (there I have my rear gravel wheel in the meantime to change the ratchet on the other), Sid SL Select fork, 80mm/740mm carbon handlebar-stem combo, SRAM level ultimate brakes, Elita One seatpost and carbon saddle.
Weighed at 9.25kg, the assembly was very easy and the frame finishes are very clean.
I haven't been able to test it properly yet, I'll come back to give a more substantiated opinion but for the moment I find it very nervous, no doubt thanks to its oversized bottom bracket, the geometry is great, you feel well centered on the bike, and the rear triangle seems to filter vibrations well, which is very pleasant.
-
got mine running... fast as a bullet!
-
What rear Wheel is that :o Road/Gravel RIM :o
-
29 2.25 shwalbe racing ralphs on spank rims and M1 hubs.
got a reba since I dont intend to do heavy trails anyway...
So far I am satisfied...

-
Surely the rear triangle on this was designed to look 'cool' - like a fully but without the pivot or shock.
Isn't there a very high risk of it snapping? I wouldn't be keen to take any big hits or get any air on this thing.
-
Just need the two round things that go front and rear.
-
I prob should have ordered the plain black ones. I placed a order on 1/20 and they don't expect to have it painted and shipped out until the end of Feb, maybe early March. Wow...Ok...........aw well, I prob can't ride until late March anyway since I'm in WI :(

give us your review, please ;) ;)

I got mine finished last night. Very happy with the outcome!
Rode it around the block a few times and seems light and playful with the 140mm fork.
Hopefully going to get in a ride this weekend.
-
Isnt that too much of a fork for that frame..... :o

It is a placeholder for now... waiting on a 120mm Fox 34 Stepcast to find its way to replace it.
-
I know the listing for the frames says its for 148mm rear axel but does anyone know if it also supports 135mm QR?

What is the deepest you go with the seat post?
-

no.
-
no.
what are you talking about? like what's the max insertion for a seat post. I'm trying to figure out which seatpost to get so i can get it in as far as i can.
-
I measure 9” of insertion on my medium frame.
2 solid rides and 17 miles in on it so far and I’m feeling happy with the build.

Thanks my man...yeah I'm not sure if I want to do a carbon post to keep the weight down or do a Fox transfer 125mm dropper :-\
Flippin BXT at Aliexpress is rediculous! I ordered 1/22 and it's not expected to get to me until the end of March! ugh!
-
I went with a carbon seat post, so far no need for a dropper on mine yet. Message them, I didn’t see much action on my frame until I was asking what the status was. Hopefully it gets there soon, I am happy with mine.

My frame failed today about mile 7 in a cross country race. I heard the loud pop, nothing felt immediately wrong so I kept going and finished. During my post ride clean up I found this. It didn’t fail where I thought it was going to!
I messaged BXT on eBay where I purchased it, we shall see what comes of it!
-
Darn! How heavy are you if I may ask.
-
I’m 180lbs. BXT took care of it and gave me a refund via eBay. I submitted a video of the failure for their internal investigation and was impressed with their communication. Ultimately I’m in the market for a new frame now.
-
Did they offer you a replacement frame?
Pleased to hear they offered a refund, at least. I had a BXT for my boy, now sold, the BXT not the boy. I was impressed with the finish and he got good use out of it without problem but I had subsequently heard that BXT has poor customer service and to avoid them. I certainly had no issues with communications with them whilst we had the frame.
-
I could have gotten a replacement if I were to have paid the shipping I believe. The fit and finish of the frame seemed great. In my case I don’t think there was enough carbon on the joint between the top tube and seat tube.
Not sure I would consider a BXT in the future yet.

Have been riding my XL for a week. Really like it. Fits 2.6 rear.
A little worried about the feeling of suspension out back.
Unintended consequence of the design?
-
Not an engineer, but just from looking at it, it seems like the very slack seat tube combined with that rear triangle design is likely to transmit a lot of forces through the fractured area.
-
Hi Guys,
any news on this frame, I would like to get XL, but without gear I am around 110Kg. Should I be worried? :D
thank you
-
On it's way.
