hey! I have already recieve the frame. Everything is great. I am greatly surprise about this brand.

I am new building mtb and I have a question that maybe you could answer me.

I am looking for a rear shock and I see that the 918 has a mount 165*38mm. Otherwise, I see many options in 165*37.5mm, but I am not sure if this measurement would fit the frame. I have already got a reba rl 120mm.

The only model with 165*38 I have found it is Rockshox Monarch.

Ok. I guess it is better not be risky with wheels.

Thanks for your reply!

Component Deals & Selection / mtb alloy budget wheels?
« on: October 08, 2023, 09:36:37 AM »
Hi everyone,

I am building my first mtb bike and I am looking for an alloy wheelset. I have seen many choices but I am running in a really small budget.

I would like that they are 29", about 25 mm (for a 2,25 tyres) 12 speed hub and tubeless ready.

I saw the X1900 by DT-SWISS, but I would like to know if there is something cheaper. I have seen the ZTTO wheels but I couldn't find info about them and I saw they are no tubeles ready.

Any experience abour chinese wheels? any cheap wheelset recomendation?

Thanks in advance,

29er / What to check once the frame arrive.
« on: October 01, 2023, 02:23:21 AM »
A couple of weeks ago I had ordered a Light Carbon 918 and 911 frames. They have already shipped the frames few days ago.

This is my first rodeo with chinese frames so I don't know what things I have to check onces the frames arrive. For example, I know that it is conviniente to chek the bottom bracket alignment, and I guess is convient to check cable holes and the threaded holes (I mean the place where the screws going into).

Do you have any other item that should have to be checked when you recieve the frame?

I don't know if this post fits in this section or it is better in the maintenance. Administrators can move it if they wish. I used the Search bar, but I couldn't find a similar post.

Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone!

I'm Fernando from Spain and I just join the forum so let me introduce myself. Before, I was a triathlete, and now I'm a duathlete. I have no connection with MTB. However, I'm fortunate to have two children who love cycling, but due to their young age, I can't take them with me on the road yet. That's the main reason to go into MTB

I don't intend to do MTB without them and considering the current prices of Western brands, I'm going to build my own bike with Chinese components.

I'll read everything I can and then I'll start asking a lot of questions, so I apologize in advance :).
