Nice - I hadn't seen those braided cables before! Those are the same braided hose Hope and Trickstuff use for their brakes .
How are the Lewis LV4? I was looking at getting them, but they were just a bit too pricey for something that doesn't have a strong warranty here in Australia. They are pretty amazing for the price. There is plenty of power and the build quality is top notch, nicest brake I ever used.
In other news - the brakes arrived today! Packaging was OK, the brakes themselves look fine.
Any ideas why this outdated standard chinese frame is 850usd? The color schemes are interesting, but what else?Outdated standard because of the lack of UDH? Yeah, I do agree with that... I think the price is because Elves is a "big" brand in Asia and the fact that they do mainly road frames. Also, maybe the fact that it's their own design might explain the price.
my 919 frame arrived today! looking forward to building it and sharing my journey here!
What brake pads do the LV2 (and LT4) use? I couldn't see it on the website.
Any further review on the set? I'm this | - | close to ordering the LV2.
I'm dying to know how these perform.
The more pics i see of these the more tempted I become but also want to know what they're like in the real world. You're pictures really make the all-silver set looks pretty tasty. Keep us posted and weights and performance!
Could you put the full set on a scale? According to Lewis' claims, they would be roughly 100 g heavier than a current set of PCA HDs (which seems an awful lot).

Did you have to take care of customs stuff or did the brakes arrive just like that?
