Took the 17''. As it is for my kid and I hope he will grow a bit, I think It will cost me a shorter stem at first (20€).
We'll see. Not shipped yet... Got to be patient.

Hi All,

Looking for details about those frames to make the best choice for a new build.

Context  for this frame is :
bike for my kid, will have to comply for 170cm height to...
27,5'' non boost
Compliant with front derailleur (10s)
Will carry over everything else from his current frame (headset and BB to check)
Delivery to France

Seraph FM699 :
Good price, geometry seems really close to his current frame. Colour in option but $$.
Contact with Seraph : very complicated, no answers about sizing, about spare dropouts, about shipping method

BXT M036 :
All information ok excepted for spare rear dropouts.
Price a bith higher than the others.
Shipping : DPD mandatory for Europe, price not acceptable (>150 euros)

Thrust TF-01 :
Waiting fo answers (contact initiated today...)
Good colors !
Price OK.

If anybody has  any advice, I will really appreciate.
I will update this post as soon as I will have new datas to share !

Thanx

Thanks again.

For the adapter I share the same idea.
Unfortunately, messages through Ali... are great when dealing with color or price or order, but much less consistent when going to technical parts.

Eventhough, I am nearly decided to go with this frame.
Am I wrong or does it looks like the former Orbea Alma frame ?

Regards.

Thank you Emu26.

It helps much to have other advice than those coming from BXT. "Be confident, we have our own factory, everything is ok". But no real technical answers.

Two last (I hope...) things if someone can :

what is the standard for rear brake : 160 PM ?
on Ali... they are selling the frame with some little stuff including a headset with a piece "adapter". Is this for adapting a straight 1,1/8" fork steerer in the tapered tube ?

Thanks.

Hello here,

Before starting a new topic, I'll try with this post.

I am interested ina BXT 036 frame for my son. He's 13, he's going toward 165 cm in a few months so it is time to order some frame to be able to swap all components from is current cube Analog frame.

My worries are :
- Size : BXT send me to the 17,5" frame. Can anyone confirm ?
- Transmission : he is using 2x10. The frame details say compatible with a front derailleur 34,9mm clamp. Ii this OK to clamp a derailleur on a carbon tube ?
- Rear dropouts : I am a bit afraid of the technical choice here. It seems the dropouts only rely on those 2 small screws... No surface to ensure strength and efforts coming from the rear wheel. Is someone able to tell me it is reliable or has pictures showing this is different from wht I think ?

I will start with this, but all feedback I can get will really be appreciated. Even if you advice to go for another frame...

Thanks

Hi All,

Julien from France. Very interested in all I can read (and ask) here so as to build a HT 27,5 er for my 13 years old son.
Favorite is BXT 036... We'll see how it ends...
