Title: Riding Vids?
Post by: Sitar_Ned on April 29, 2014, 10:10:06 AM
Was watching an Intense cycles promo/riding vid this morning and thought I'd start the obligatory riding vid thread.

Here's the Intense vid.. Pretty slick videos (and bikes)

And this one is just crazy to me.. Looks insanely fun, but I am just not the type to push the limits like that. Envy those that do though.

Not a high budget flick, but i dig this video. Some cool trails with just the right amount of jumps and danger for me:

A friend of mine just posted this from his ride at White Oak Mountain: Cottontail Mountain Bike Trail in Chattanooga, TN.  This downhill looks like an absolute blast to ride.

Looks awesome.

I honestly don't ride anything that technical at all. Is that about the norm fo the trails you ride CD? I was under the impression you were more of a cross country guy.

A bit more technical that the trails around here, we have a few wooden bridges that you need to pedal up and over and some flat boardwalk but no curved wooden tracks with jumps in-between.  We even have some fast downhill somewhat technical sections but they have few obstacles.  My top speed is 22-24mph on the fast downhill sections.

GO PRO / REDBULL RAMPAGE are two keywords to learn and love.

The quality of HD and the level of skill shows is insane. Its mostly DH stuff though but hey thats where the ridiculous seems to happen.

Mud Cows. The original extreme lifestyle/riding vid.

These were filmed in the early 90s all along the east coast of Australia.. Most of it was in and around Cairns, where the WC was held in April this year. There is some footage in there of Chris Kovarik jumping the Kuranda Scenic Railway Train, and missing the catch net, nicely breaking his collarbone. His sponsors were not too happy.

Be prepared for poor quality recordings and blood.

This is where Crusty Demons of Dirt got their inspiration from..True!
