29er / Aluminum 14x1.5 nut??????
« on: October 08, 2015, 02:59:00 PM »
So I purchased a Fox Kabolt 15mm Axle for my rigid 29er fork on my IP-256.  I didn't think I would have such a problem finding an aluminum nut 14x1.5. The nut that came with my 15mm axle from www.xmiplay.com doesn't fit. Does anyone have an idea were I can get an aluminum nut that is 14x1.5?

Thanks!!

29er / Ti dropout bolts
« on: August 08, 2015, 02:13:47 PM »
Has anyone replaced the bolts that hold the dropouts on the IP-256? I wanted to get some titanium bolts for them. The allen heads are a little bent out of shape on a few. If so where did you get them?

Anyone know the size of these bolts?

I have been using this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/J-L-Titanium-Ti-bolt-Seatpost-clamp-31-8mm-34-9mm-9g-Gray-Ultra-Light-/121168021033?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&var=&hash=item1c362d4629

Weight was 10 grams so I had to get it ;D I really had to tighten it down because the seat post would slide down, even with carbon paste. I removed a little of the material where the clamp came together so I could get it a bit tighter. Is seems to be holding now. I don't have to remove or adjust my seat post so I went with this style clamp.

What is the recommended clamp size for the IP 256? I am wondering if I ordered the wrong size.

What clamps are you using on your bikes? Would like to hear your experiences good and bad.

29er / Keeping it quite.

Internal brake and shift lines seem to make a lot of noise.
I have heard others with crank, seat post, and various other parts making noise.
I was just wondering what everyone is doing to quiet their bikes. Post up your noise and how you made it go away.

I tried using foam pipe insulation in the down tube. It helped a lot but I am still getting a rattling noise from the back. I think it is the shift cable hitting the frame after the crank (IP 256).

29er / MY IP-256-SL Build
« on: October 05, 2014, 01:11:26 AM »
This is my first build and I am loving it. I had a great experience with Jason from IPLAY, very quick replies to all my questions even after I had all the parts.

The bike is looking like a 16 pounder when done.

Slowly adding info to my build spreadsheet

29er / Cable/Brake Routing
« on: September 23, 2014, 01:40:46 PM »
I purchased the IP 256 SL frame.  This is my first time dealing with internal routing, and I had a few questions.

Are the plastic tubes that come on the bike just used to guide the brake and cable lines?

It looks like the entrance hole for rear derailleur cable is on the same side as the shifter. Is anyone using the front derailleur hole instead? I won’t be using a front derailleur.

Thanks for any help. Pictures on what you guys did for you routing or a link to your build would be great!!

29er / Something in my fork
« on: September 16, 2014, 09:59:11 PM »
So I received my new IP 256 SL frame, 2 rims, handle bar, and fork. Everything looked great! From talking to Jason the first time on Sept. 9th to holding my frame on Sept. 16th, I thought that was very fast!!!

I did have one problem. My carbon fork has something rattling around inside of it. It is on the side that has the mount for the brake caliper. Has anyone had this problem??

I know it would be annoying if I was riding around with a loud rattling noise.
