Title: MTB headset upgrade
Post by: kbernstein on February 13, 2024, 03:59:15 AM
Please help me sort out my MTB headset I've been procrastinating for a year
I have old shitty open ball bearings (the bottom one is especially trash) and I would like to upgrade it to sealed bearings so I can finally sell it and enjoy a non-cluttered basement again
The top of the fork measures 29mm, 38.6mm at the bottom and the headtube 40mm inside
ZTTO have a nice graph but I can't tell if I have a "zerostack" or integrated headset type

Can somebody point me to the right bearings, unless a conversion from open ball to sealed cartridges is not possible? Thanks in advance
Also, could I reuse that star nut inside the fork?
