Its been brilliant so far, absolutely no issues what so ever, only problem ove had was one bolt worked loose but re torqued it and its stayed put, currently contemplating getting it painted ...or painting it myself

Thaught i best update this as ive finally finished the build
After a few testing rides i was sick of the constant pedal strikes and wasnt happy with how the mattocs looked on this bike, there a brilliant fork i just wasnt happy with the look

So finalised build list is
Ican p9 medium
Dvo  onyx sc 180mm forks in rediculous green
Unite.co green stem
Spank oozy riser bars
Dvo topaz3 shock
Magura mt5 brakes...might opt for larger rotors next year
Truvativ troy lee 165mm cranks
V8 pedals
Dmr oi oi camo saddle
Brendog deathgrips
Giant contact 150mm dropper post matched with a brand x lever after some fandangling
Sun ringle duroc 40 wheelset
Michilin tyres
Shimano deore 10sp rear
Oval chainring upfront
Cant remember what bb tbh a hope one i think?
Think that about sums it up

29er / Re: Choosing a Frame (P9, BXT 087 or winowsports)?
« on: October 26, 2021, 11:02:01 AM »
I originally messaged them to find out if they knew what sort of import tax id pay (uk) as i didnt want to buy one n then have to pay extortionate taxes when it arrived but they were cool about it and split the payment into two then they declare the lower amount on the paperwork and say its a 2nd hand frame n i didnt have to pay any import taxes n stuff ...also the bb is quite low on the p9 so look for 165mm cranks

I bought the p9 direct from ican and they were very helpful in there emails, even sorted the payment so i wouldnt have to pay import taxes, ive finishedy build and done some quite hard rides on it and had no bother at all ....only issue ive had was the lack of torgue specs etc and the bb worked loose and that was my fault really for not torqing it enough

Yeah i made the assumption that if they are both deore m5100 11 speed that they would form the same groupset?? n then its just been a nightmare finding 165 cranks (cause the p9 bb is so low) i thaught well it must work cause im on a deore 10speed set up at the minute with truvativ cranks
But always best to double check

So yeah as the title says, full groupsets are rarer than rocking horse shit at this point so im tryin to mix and match a groupset... Would this all work together im mainly worried about the crankset

With the likes of evolve offering lifetime warrenty i recon people would still buy them if they were more honest about where the frames came from, end of the day most big branded frames are built in asia any ways

Well thats the prime 9 out of the window then, im not paying 60 quid everytime i need a chain, ill probably just be boring and order a sram 11speed when i get paid

Im based in the north of england but my surname is of french origin i believe, so points given there i guess

Sherpa seem to be puttin alot of time into marketing etc n i like the look of their customiser

The plan is to go sram 11speed (although im intregued by the box components wide 9 speed just to be different) but as everything practically everywhere is out of stock or on pre order for 11 speed groupsets, im just looking to use my existing deore groupset to be back out riding even if i have to buy a new derailleur which isnt the most cost effective plan but i just want to ride it now
