I emailed Adapt to buy a frame and they said no, they wouldn't sell directly to consumers.

Tavelo, Nich, and 1OF1 are all using the Adapt frame. My issue has always been price. People don't want to spend $2000 for an open mold frame. Heck, most people don't want to spend $1500 for an open mold. That's why I never even seriously considered a Winspace. The Adapt looks good, but I'm not spending that on an open mold frame. Maybe for a Bross or Seka that's in house, but even that I'd like to see more reviews of quality and long term durability. Over $2000 for direct to consumer is a tough sell when you can get local shop support with a big brand for $1000 more. Which in my book is worth it. Parts availability, shops in every bigger city, mechanics that are familiar with the brand, warranty support. That's the premium you pay for the big brands. With an open mold, I know what to expect and work on the bike myself. You get a deal but you know you don't have that brand support. At $500, that's worth the trade. $2300? Nope. Not when you can probably get an SL7 for that price.

Any updates?  These look nice. Trying to find a narrow 36 cockpit and it’s hard to find my needed stem length of 120mm. Just looking for a 1-piece that isn’t a noodle and comes in narrow/long sizes.

Counter point. I got my 168 painted in white with pink logos and a blue fork. I have zero regrets after over a year with this paint job. I bought an open mold because it was cheap and gave me the option of custom paint. I don’t have nor did I ever think of resale value because it’s an open mold and who is buying second hand open mold frames? I wanted something fun and unique.

My point is: get the paint you want. Forget about resale value. Get the paint job that excites you and makes you want to ride your bike. We’re not talking about $5000 frames and $2000 custom paint jobs. Mine cost an extra $50 to go wild and do custom logos. The whole package was like $650 before shipping. Have fun with it. I can say with 100% certainty that I would have regretted getting a black frame. Part of the fun with an open mold is the custom paint options. That’s my opinion at least. I didn’t see the point of getting a plain matte black frame when custom paint is so cheap.

Yea, I had the same reaction as you guys to that thread. Maybe one useful post for every 10 petty arguments about various things.

Just looking at the bike itself, it looks well made. I can't say I have any experience with Seka but the details look great and it's a really nice finishing kit they're including. I am always wary about aero claims and honestly don't really put much weight into them after seeing that Cade video where there was like 5W between the Foil and Addict in real world riding conditions. Arguing over 1-2W in test conditions just seems silly. But the weight is nice if true.

My big question is the price. I know it's not an open mold frame but it's still a tough ask for what they're charging (I think around $2,000 USD). Like I said, I'm not experienced with Seka but I think they're going to have a hard time selling them in the US for that price without years of quality behind them. This isn't saying they're not quality, more that they don't have the well known name. Winspace charges similar and has a pretty good following after years of putting out quality bikes. But even still, they are a tough sell to a lot of people who don't want to spend $1,500 on a Chinese frame. I think Bross is in the same boat, albeit they can throw the Cube name around to show they make quality bikes.

Either way, I'm interested to hear how it rides. The integrated cockpit looks really nice and I'd almost be tempted to pick one up for a different bike if the price is right. Maybe not the best name (I know it's a sword but it's still going to have a connotation that's not great) but the size options are great.

Also, anybody else getting Red Bull vibes from the special edition paint job?

Seka just released their new frameset and it looks pretty good. Kind of poised as an endurance bike judging by the geo numbers but not super relaxed. Weight is really nice and looks decently aero. There’s a big discussion about it over on WeightWeenies (along with the usual bickering). Interested to hear what people here think. It’s not listed on the Seka website yet though.

Look at the new Seka Spear. I’m almost your height and intrigued by it. It’s got a higher stack than most Chinese frames and looks well made.

that being said it's not a bad design, front end is  straight up a stevens arcalis, which tests very fast, rear end is tavelo attack

Not a huge fan of the BB86. Not a great setup for larger diameter spindles. Was hoping for something like a T47.

Just wheels to figure out 50 to 60mm with internet 21+ and under 700 dollars and under 1600g would be good suggestions welcome.... must have shiny finish preferably no decals as going no logos with the design.

Order this week but wont be building till first week of June so ill try to share some photos

I got them during the 11.11 sales, but I have a set of Farsports Hypers with 24int/30ext, 58 depth, with carbon spokes for $700. Weight is 1300g. Just mounted up some GP5000 S 28/30 that measure 29.5/31.3 inflated. I'm super happy with them.

Same. The Magene PM with cranks for $300 is a steal. PM is dead on with my other power meters. And the cranks were a straight swap with Shimano and took less than 10 minutes for the install. Couldn't have been easier. I'm considering another set for the crit bike actually.

Looking for a stiff, narrow aero handlebar with some flair to the drops. Honestly, something like the Enve Aero bar is nearly perfect. Apart from a $400 price tag. Plan to go for separate bar and stem but don't mind a 1-piece setup. The One Pro is decent, but I'd like more flair if possible. 38 hoods to like 42 drops would be ideal.

Yea the TFSA is out. Leaning towards the SP Cycle Aeroad copy. Partially because my other open mold is labeled "CANDY" and this being a Canyon copy could get the same font and do "Candy" on the downtube.

It’s not too far off from my Tarmac SL7. The reach is a good bit shorter (12mm) but the stack and top tube length are similar. Wheelbase is 6mm shorter. Could probably make it work with a longer stem.

The Bross looks really nice but seems to be vaporware for now. Would be cool to see it come to the US but all I keep hearing is “coming soon.”

Edit: Ok, the reach is 15mm shorter. So maybe not the best.

The Spycle (Aeroad copy) or TTX38 (Foil copy) are probably leading the race right now. Geo looks good. T47 bottom bracket. Custom paint options.
