Title: Cs 057 thru axel coming loose
Post by: trevotrev on September 10, 2015, 05:46:21 PM
My thru axel is coming loose while riding, anyone have this problem? It seems the nut used with the end of the thru axel is the wrong size

I've had mine come lose.  No solution yet, other than double checking it before rides.

I am not sure what the 057 frame has but my Workswell 062 has a set screw holding the nut for the rear and for the front axles. You could possibly drill and tap a small hole and use a set screw for it. Others have purchased a DT Swiss axle and are reporting great results with it. good luck.

Got the shimano thru axel and boy what a difference. Does not come loose and fits in the mount better. The Chinese one I got was a POS. I highly recommend buying a different thru axel
