Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
How does this frame perform as an XC race bike? This frame is a really good climber. Better than I thought it would. I would say it climbs as well as my 2017 Scalpel. I have some silly steep climbs on my trails and I actually enjoy climbing Add front and rear lockouts and you'll have yourself an XC racing weapon. November 26, 2020, 12:27:55 AM |

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Quote Balls, I am using two shocks with this frame: 165x42.5mm Fox DPS Performance (non-remote) and a RockShox Deluxe RLR 165x37.5mm (remote, just waiting on my SID Ultimate TwistLoc). I shared my thoughts on these shocks and how they pair with the frame earlier in this thread. The Deluxe RLR is the one I'll probably leave on the frame long-term. December 07, 2020, 03:56:35 PM |

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
300psi ? I weigh 75kg and I have 270 psi in my Fox Float DPS on this frame to get the right sag. February 18, 2021, 01:00:27 PM |

Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
On the upside, you now have all the knowledge on just about everything to look for on this frame (not too much IMO) when you get it so it should be trouble-free for quite a while for you. Agreed. I don't want to jinx it, but I am actually impressed with this frame. 10 months of hard riding on it and aside from the out-of-spec linkage (replacement sent by Carbonda) this thing is robust. Re: Carbonda Cfr 1056
Quote I would try to push and pull a cable or a hose from the back in the chainstay in various directions to maybe catch a debris stuck there. Already done that. Compressed air, vaccum with a slim hose through the BB, long bottle brush. No effect. Quote I would try flushing the frame out with water, if you’re able to. Like, a lot of strongly flowing water. Shaken up inside the frame if possible.I would be hesitant to do this. Not sure what the long-term effect of any trapped moisture would be, especially given that the BB shell is a bonded insert. Carbonda's "solution" was hilarious though. They advised to "drill a small hole inside of seatstay and fill with foam spray". Yeah, no! The frame is otehrwise lovely and the other one is faultless. Just going to have it built up. November 15, 2022, 02:52:01 PM |
