Re: Elves Falath EVO 2023
I don't see what makes the Evo non aero or a aero larp because it's cheap.
I think people have complaints about various things but no one has said it's slow aerodynamically. Cam Nichols had it as his fastest bike in a descent he tests aero on, and he wasn't too keen on it overall.

Rectangular cross-sections. Cam nichols test is hardly a scientific test. All it will show is that it's not a parachute. Easily a 20 watt margin of error with his test.

Re: Elves Falath EVO 2023
the Simplon Pride 2 still has the best aero score with some of its tubes looking more rectangular than teardrop....

Kamm-tail, not rectangular, very important difference.

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM)
That's the slowest shifting FD I have ever seen.

I am confident that's slow motion footage. Why would they do that? God knows. Chinese marketing departments can be a bit odd sometimes.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets When I saw that tracevelo was having was having water ingress issues with the gravel groupset I lost all faith in them fixing this. If wheeltop group is good I'll buy that, they say it's rated for ip67.

Re: Magene P505 PES Base Spider Powermeter Just got mine set up yeasterday, there's a little play between the chainrings and the spider, but not in the way that it actually matters. The provided spider mount tool didn't quite fit my bb tool, so i had to cover it with a cloth and grab it with pliers to get the leverage to tighten the mount.

Power numbers seen pretty much dead on with my direto xr after using just auto zero. Chainrings seem to shift well so far.

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame
I totally agree, but I am in the nice position to get a frame much cheaper because a friend of mine is working in the bike industry. Of course „cheap“ is the wrong word here. I am really unsure about my decision, but in the end I am trying to whitewash it with selling it later for nearly the price I will pay now…

I really like the shape of the 268, but the uncertainty of getting the roval cockpit work is a huge obstacle for my idea of building it up.

If money isn't an issue just get the specialized. It'll be lighter, better to ride and the chances of you getting an actually properly made and QCd product are massively higher. And even if there are issues you will be able to warranty it locally and talk to people who actually speak your language.

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM) Unfortunately youre then stuck in sram's proprietary cassetes, chains, small front shift range, etc.

Re: Two new Winspace frames coming (soon?) Unfortunately it seem they are sticking with the triangular downtube on the agile, while doing it better on bike #2
