I am considering either an ICAN A22 (I love the black color) or an ELVES Avari Pro. The ELVES is UCI approved, unlike the ICAN.

the ican is quite old with recommended 25/28C tyres. That's very much not future proof.
the elves is surprisingly heavy (baby size 990g) and maxes out at 30C.

Have a look at sp cycle SP-R025-SL - you can get it for cheaper than what the website says. SP cycle = Tideace = haidelibicycle.com = disai. So if you email all of them you'll get the best deal.
SP Cycle has several models you may like.
Lightcarbon has a model or 2 you'll like
I really like my long teng 268.
Velobuild is now consistently making nice frames, the 268 is proving very popular.
Given the elves look like an endurance bike, the yishun R1018 may be good for you - super light, monocoque -.

I would never buy an ican nor an elves myself :)

Re. tools, have a look at a few bike builds video on YT. you'll quickly notice what tools you need.

Super nice, your budget control is impressive. That much bike for 2k eur is remarkable. how much does shipping cost for wheels and frames to Australia, typically? I wouldn't be surprised if you saved 200eur in shipping across all the stuff you ordered (i'm in europe).
Your airtag thing under the bottle cage is screaming airtag thing though ;)

Does anybody have a direct contact to ltwoo sales?
I am being ghosted by them(Salesperson Luke, i do not need his contact), because i want a solution regarding quality issues?
Any help appreciated...
If anybody is interested in er9, brand new..i am willing to sell them cheap, germany or europe preferred..

Hi, i have a guy there via wechat. Idk where he works within ltwoo, it's a contact via a friend. He's been largely useless. For my warranty shenanigans, i've been going through the guy who sold me the groups, as per what ltwoo says on their website.
DM me if you have wechat, in which case i can probably share his contact.
My wechat skills are very limited.

Anyone has an idea about how to solve the potential water ingrease ourselfes?

people have had success using liquid electrical tape around the RD cable plug. i bought a bottle myself but i don't have a thingy precise enough to squeeze out the stuff with any precision, so i'm not sure how to seal it efficiently. the stuff is sticky and dries super fast so it's not forgiving at all.

Yep the ten tooth thing is super overblown. That cog is for down hill any watts given up are gravity assisted watts. If you are in that cog on flat ground buy bigger front rings.

Hell I run a e thirteen 9 46 on my gravel rig but that 9 tooth is for down hill only.

An inferior design is an inferior design. And speak for yourself. I have a 52/36 and i routinely use the 11T at the back on the flat, once i'm going above 40kmh. And given i use the bike on steep hills too, i don't want to run 53/39. And i'm not going to swap cranks between flat and hilly days.
Sram's small cogs and small chainrings are mechanically an inferior design, plain and simple. Doesn't mean they dont work adequately for most. But it's a new design that's worse than what it replaced. aka, an inferior design.
Flat top chains suck too, zipp lost their edge so long ago that nobody's talking about them anymore, batteries that last a fraction of shimano's.
Sram engineers are the goats of poor engineering. They do however have very strong marketing.

Difficult to say by comparing the 3D rendering with real pictures, but is Speeder Cycling the OEM of the Tavelo Arow frame?

geometry table is a bit different, seatpost clamp is different, and i think the tavelo frame is supposed to be significantly lighter.

Beyond that, they do look very similar...

there have been a few posts on here recently about that. 1 guy on a vb 218 3d printed little rubber things to allow him to use aero bars, and he got a metal shop to cnc cut him a metal plate with various holes to dial his fit.
there's also another post about aero bars that clamp on foil shape bars, made of 4 clamping bits, from aliexpress. Maybe in the aliexpress good findings thread?

fwiw, i never found a material difference between my vector 2s and my elite direto, nor with my elite suito. i didn't want to spend more to get a dual side vector because unless you have a medical history of some kind, coaches report that people are symmetric enough.

Not sure how i can add a 0.5mm C shaped spacer to the headset. Can't it just slip out or the compression will hold it in place?
I think i will go ahead and order the Specialized design mentioned by @fabxyz on ali

Compression would keep it in place, shouldn't move. And you have hoses in the part that requires it to be C shaped rather than a full ring anyway, so it can't really go anywhere.

That said, if there's a cheap AliExpress version that is known to fix the problem, it's probably worth biting the bullet, if you tell me I can pay 20 bucks to get rid of play for good, I'd make that trade every time.

Very nice. If you create a new thread though, please take the time to write more. What was wrong with the brake, cost, the paint look cool, talk about that and so on.
If that is her backup bike, What's the daily driver? Because with SRAM electronic and everything else, looks like a high end build already!

Very nice, except the t700 800 mix, and to a lesser extent, weight.
How much do they sell their frames for usually?
This frame in a lighter / stiffer version with t800/1000 could be pretty amazing.

This is pretty dumb. How hard is it to assign a serial # to each groupset? Their warranty process is just pure laziness. The EDS TX is already in Shimano 105 Di2 AliEx pricing territory. At least with the 105 Di2, spare parts are plentiful and quality assurance to chance buying from a reseller is much better.

Agreed. Business wise, it's akin to shooting yourself in the foot. It's even remarkably stupid. Unless ofc they actively want the west not to buy their stuff, which might be the case, after all, as China is probably big enough for them to thrive. But then they wouldn't be selling to Aliexpress vendors. So it's probably just stupid.

They work fine! I double checked my gravel bike brake pads which does long descents on dirt trails and there are no deep track lines on the pads. My 2x160mm rotors are 1.6mm thick and feel quite sturdy. For someone to toast their rotors and dig tracks into their brake pads suggest to me they weighed like 130kg and had zero clue how to feather and modulate front/rear braking! There's a reason they have bigger rotors for bigger riders!

A bad design is a bad design though. Glad it's working for you, but as a fat ass myself, i dont want half of my rotor surface to be air.

+1 on the loose headset. Be careful, because that sounds like a bad case of headset play. The sort of thing that prematurely wears out a carbon steerer. If you're really heavy and really unlucky, you end up snapping the steerer, jump over the bike, and have a really bad day.
Given you're on a lightcarbon frame, it's probably user error rather than bad tolerances, so should be an easy fix once you find the issue.

Cyclocross Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: TFSA JH-37

I have also ordered a road frame from TFSA 3 weeks ago. They claim they will ship in 10-20 days, but yesterday they asked for an extension of the processing time because the frame is not ready... So if there are no more delays the processing time will be closer to a month. So total time between order and receiving will indeed be closer to 2 months... Communication is good (I ask them for an update every few days to keep them on their toes) but the long wait is not that great...

How did your build go? How is riding going?
Looks like there's very little info on here about TFSA.
