I'm saying that is a pretty big exaggeration.

Friend of mine had some paint chip on the dropout of his Specialized Roubaix. Bike shop emailed the pics to Specialized...they sent him a new frame. I find that it's more uncommon for big brand to give bad customer service.

Yeah , fair point but I have seen it go both ways. I think that's the advantages of a bike shop.. dealing with Specialized yourself would be far less effective I bet. But yeah.. your point stands.

For real? Come on now. I had a paint crack on the top tube of my Cervelo S2. I had a new frame within two weeks.

Not sure what you mean by "for real?".. are you implying that it's unreasonable to say that you wouldn't get that kind of service from an American company? If so, I agree that is a bit of a generalization, but in my experience, its pretty accurate.  Of course not all companies,  mainly the larger ones. Many of them even outsource warranty services. Perhaps the more accurate statement would be don't assume bc you buy from a name brand that warranty service will be superior.

if you do buy it, let as now  ;)

Definitely. Would love to see a build and some better pics. I'm also a fan of the top tube and even like the decals. With red instead of yellow pinstripes that would look sharp!

Looks like a nice frame.

That's what I was thinking. Doesn't much help you identify it but I really like it. The paint scheme is sweet, and the small wheels and BMX style stem remind me of my old freestyle bike I had when I was in my teens. Looks like it'd be fun to whip around. What stem is that if you don't mind me asking?

Might get a bit better feedback if you provided a link or some images. First time I've heard/read the name Heller Shagamaw on the forums

Hmm.. I think I'll follow the advice in this thread.. going to buy chiner frame, rims and seat and name brand seat post and bars.

Good info being shared here, thanks guys. And glad your daughter is ok!

Hello all! Just signed up but been browsing for a few weeks now. What a great resource this site is, glad to have stumbled on it from YouTube. Learned a lot and think my next ride will most definitely be a chiner. Been  wanting to go carbon for literally a decade but just couldn't justify the price considering my old Trek aluminum hard tail technically  still functions. Finally ready to upgrade a bit though and these prices on carbon frames and rims really make them an option for budget conscious guys like me!

Thanks again to the mods and admin for the site, it's been very helpful!
