Re: Yishun R086-D Aero Road Can you measure actual stack of the frame? I've been playing around with bikegeo.net and it calculates significantly shorterr stack for some of Yoshun frames (including R086 and R068). In the case lf R068, dofference is 15mm, which makes me wonder if Yishun lists the stack with headset cocer included. Other measurements like reach, front centre are in line

Re: So excited - airwolf yfr066 Make sure that size L isn't too big for you - I'm 178cm tall and I'd choose between size S and M depending on how aggressive the fit is. Overall, I believe it is the same mold as Rinasomething that some people have reviewed on YouTube, including Patrick Lino (just keep in mind same mold does not equal same quality)

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame
Plenty of discounts and discount codes this week in AliExpress

Maybe it would be a good idea to make a new thread with compilation of deals of the on going sale? Hygge frame only shows 20€ off coupon, but some items seem to have a nice discount (i.e. Elitewheels Edge wheelset is around 540€ shipped)

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)
Haha I was thinking the same! I reached out to them regarding the 1088 a few weeks back and they said they would not sell it to individual customers.

Interesting, when I wrote them last week, the reply I got was "R1088-D size 53, it's only in China stock right now.", which indicates that the frame is available to customers, at least in certain sizes IMO?

Re: Newish ZEROING crankset - Ingrid clone
Depends on the crankset. The Racework carbon crankset is about 377g and the Goldix/Zeroing crankset w/hollowed out crank arms is about 475-480g. In order to match those weights, you have to go Dura Ace of SRAM Red at a significantly higher cost.

I did some digging, found weight for non-Shimano spindles - 160g for steel, 90mm for alloy. 70 grams savings is less than  0.1% of total system weight (typical accuracy of digital scales is 0.1%). Comprimising the durability of one of the highest stress areas for literally meaningless gains is not what I'd recommend.

Re: 3D Printed Saddles It seems like there are 3 new Ryet saddles in total: T50 that is seen in the photos above, X6 and X7p. Not a fan of how X7p looks like, starts out nice and narrow, but then goes full triangle mode and gets real wide real fast. T50 looks nice and solid all around, although the pressure relief channel is bit narrow. X6 has similar shape to T50, but has wider relief channel and different looking mesh (not sure how it affects comfort). I kinda want to buy X6, but gotta see how comfortable is that different looking mesh. One interesting point across all three saddles is that they are advertising 1cm extra rail length.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
There is no HG 12sp cassette that is officially compatible with Sram road flattop chains, as far as I', aware. It's gonna work and it's gonna shift fine, I guess. But in theory the rollers and the ramping of the teeth don't fit together 100% resulting in accelerated wear. Most people seem to consider it a non issue, however.

Sram's own 11-44t XPLR cassette (HG freehub compatible) is officially compatible with flat top chain

Will see how it goes. Chose seller's shipping method, so hopefully it is DPD. Paid 480€ with coupon code, which is a nice deal

Re: Searching Carbon Pedals comparable weight to the Dura ace
I myself have found only a few third-party lightweight options for SPD-SL. Even though Shimano pedals are reliable, Look KEO seems to be a better choice for cost-conscious weight savings.

But, here are the three options I found:

Exustar E-PR18 CKTI (Titanium axle, carbon-reinforced nylon body) - 246g - 126 USD https://www.amazon.com/Exustar-E-PR18CKTI-Road-Clipless-Pedal/dp/B00LOA0BTU

Exustar E-PR18 STTI (Titanium axle, nylon body) - 256g - 100 USD https://www.amazon.com/Exustar-E-PR18STTI-Road-Clipless-Pedal/dp/B00LOA0BYU

Rockbros LP-R21 (Steel axle, nylon body) - 262g - 40 USD https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832644654245.html

If you want to save weight, you go with Time pedals. Otherwise, just get used Dura-Ace. Still light and will outlive any Aliexpress special pedal IMO
