Re: GCN just reviewed Sava People getting mad over a bike they would never buy or consider.  ;D

If anything it will get people to look at their other framesets. They do make sub 7kg road bikes with Di2 components. Sava seems to be one those OEM companies that sell in bike shops in Asia and are trying expand their marketshare elsewhere. Polygon from Indonesia seems to be doing well with a similar approach. I tend to hear about their MTBs quite a bit.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets I've been abusing my ER9 all week with fast flats, long climbs and sketchy road descents. I'm definitely using the full range of my shifting. I hop curbs and take my bike on dirt roads, something my mechanical setup could easily handle. I also fixed my mis-shift issues on the 3 big cogs, now it's shifting perfectly.

On occasion I have to press the RD button to link up to the app as opposed to just shaking the bike to have it connect. Besides that everything is working fine. I'll definitely chime in if I have any issues. Not doing any rain rides though!

Re: TideaceBike New mold Road Frame FM-CR068 groupbuy
I feel fat shamed right now :p

Seriously though, I feel like there's a certain weight/size tolerance for a lot of overseas components. I tend to include that in my risk assessment when buying stuff from China. That seat stay design might be fine for someone my size, but for someone who weighs more or has different dynamic leverages, it might be problematic.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! This is not a bad deal if building out a rim bike or something with cable hydraulic disc calipers.

Wow, that's a great price.

I wish I was building a bike right now. So many good options on the cheap! Lol

On a side note, I installed this 105 groupset on a buddy's rim brake bike with a busted Ultegra 6800 setup. I think after having used both, I prefer Sensah Team Pro mechanical shifters, especially in carbon. I mainly like Sensah's left shifter haptics which give very firm clicks for FD trim. Plus there's a brake lockout when shifting with Sensah. I don't think 105 has a braking lockout (correct me if I'm wrong).

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets Contrary to other bad experiences, my ER9 groupset has been working really well. It took a few rides to iron out the kinks, but right now it's running near perfect. I'd almost be tempted to buy another ER9 set! Though I bought it with really low expectations, with the belief it will fail on me at any given moment. If you want race ready equipment with money spent on R&D, extensive customer support and quality assurance, no one should be buying any components from AliExpress!

Re: Best and worst overall quality/value components/tools/gear from AliExpress? I'm seriously addicted to picking up UNO lightweight stems. I've swapped over to -17 degree stems on both my road bikes!

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc! The 2nd iteration Racework crankset is also the same design as the Riro crankset.

It's an improvement over the previous design, but I did have problems installing it on non-Shimano bottom brackets. It would seize up before fully locking down. It works fine on both Shimano Ultegra PF and threaded BSA bottom brackets, but I had issues installing it on my threaded PF BB that was non-Shimano. I'm guessing it might be a difference in bearing size that's causing an issue?

This 29mm axle version looks interesting for the 3rd design iteration. I'm guessing it locks in from the non-drive side with a built-in locking screw. I wonder if they'll use this design for the 24mm axle version?
