Problem is a lot of the Chinese forks have a long A2C, the crown on the ones in that dudes photos is huge), wheres my Niners are pretty low. Measured them today they're actually 480 which is only 6mm less than an 80mm SID so I think I might be okay.

My take on the list

1)  Brakes - SRAM X0 Trail
2)  Shifter, Cranks, Bottom Bracket, Chain, Rear Derailleur, Cassette - SRAM XX1
3)  Fork - Rockshock SID World Cup w/remote
4)  Rear Shock - Monarch XX w/ XLoc Full Sprint remote (locks both front and rear)
5)  Wheels - Chinese Carbon Hookless 30mm
6)  Seat - Your choice
7)  Bars & Seatpost - Thomson
8)  Frame - Chinese Carbon of your choice
9)  Grips - ESI Foams
10) Tires - I like Schwalbe but it's up to you, Maxxis great, Kenda great, loads of good tyres
11)  Pedals - Time Atac
12) Stem - Thomson Elite
13) Headset - Order with the frame or Cane Creek brand
14) Seatpost clamp - Thomson Elite
15) Cables come with the shifter
16) Grease - Park Tools Polylube or similar

I just left the hole for mine empty, was gonna squirt some silicone over it but never got round to it, I know a company are now doing blanking plates with a bottle opener for the high mounts, but can't remember who!

Well the fact they both have similar internal routing placement, same cover over the BB, both have the straightish top tube to seat stays, as mentioned the wishbone is the major difference (and the thickness of the seatstays), but has anyone bought one?

Does anyone have any experience with the ICAN x6 frame?

http://www.icanbikes.com/html/MTB/29ER_frame/230.html

Looks to be a lot like the IP-256SL but with slightly different geo, namely a BB drop of 69mm and 450mm chainstays.

For me it's between this and the 256, the advantage being that I can get this shipped out within 3 days of payment, whereas with the 256 I will have to wait 35-45 days.

I probably should have planned it out better but I sold my frame today assuming I'd only be without a bike for 7-10 days and my heart set on the X6, but seeing the BB will drop to -80.9 with my Niner forks (470 a-c) I'm having to reassess what frame I'm going to pick up!

I'll be following this thread closely, I'm looking at a 256 for myself.

Has anyone ridden one of these with rigid forks? I've noticed the geo charts tend to be based around tall a-c forks (500) whereas I have Niner forks with an a-c of 470, which will drop the BB around 11mm. I'm a bit concerned it'll ruin the handling of the bike...
