The overwhelming majority of frames I've been able to review were paid for out of pocket. At full price. I would love to review the new SEKA Spear or Tavelo Arow, but the price point is difficult no matter how excited I am for both of them.

I've actually been saving up to purchase one of these frames or the Bross Zenith. However, earlier this week I was offered a deal on an SL8 Pro (non S-Works) frameset. It wasn't a huge discount, but enough to sway me away from Tavelo/Seka/

Patty,
What are your current bikes in your arsenal? Is the T1500 the only one you keep around?

I got my T1550 during the black Friday sale so it was maybe around $1300 I cant remember. But either way I do not think I would ever spend over $1500 USD on a Chinese frame normally. The idea is that we get a lower price, but have the risk of little to no customer service/ warranty. These bikes over $1750 are pushing that current arrangement

This is hype. I feel like magene quality is above the rest

Tavelo is releasing an "Ultralight" version of their Arow for $2400. Yikes...

Really wondering if these increased prices are because of the contractions in the industry so they have to raise prices, or they think their product is equal to west brands so they want to price the same?

The price is extremely disappointing, and I would even start to argue against the spirit of this forum. I think many people on this forum want high-quality carbon frames for less than mainstream brands and at that price point you might as well buy a specialIzed Or a giant or a Trek

I am running ride now TPU tubes with GP5k PSI for my tired in the 70s.
I find that on smooth tarmac I have no issues, but any rough or degraded services you can really feel it.

Hi All,

Currently riding on Winspace Hyper D45 2023 with Carbon spokes, previous bike having alloy wheels. I have notice that the carbon spokes give the wheel a more unforgiving feeling when riding, noticeable extremely stiff. This is great for power transfer obviously but I feel like it affects the comfort compared to a spoke like the Sapim CX-Ray or other metal spokes. Long term I am unsure if I want to keep riding the Hypers due to the ride quality or if it would be better to switch our to a different wheelset. I almost think with the roads in my area a more forgiving wheel would result in more speed from enhanced comfort
So asking you all,
1. For riders that have ridden both wheels, are metal spokes a better option for comfort?
2. Any recommendations for wheelsets that are 55mm deep and have metal spokes (Might keep Hypers and buy 2nd wheelset)
3. Do you think I am being a baby and overthinking the wheel stiffness?

Looking forward to all your opinions

Hey @Macedingle, just wondering the black friday deal you used 2450$ USD for the Frameset+bar+wheels did you also include an extra 10% discount code?

They are offering me 2580$ USD now but with SE wheels and no extra 10% discount code...still debating if I should pull the trigger or wait a bit more.

Thanks

I did get an extra 10% off. Try discount code gcperformance10. One of my previous posts has a spreadsheet full of discount codes!

That Black Friday deal for the T1550 and Hyper wheels was killer. I've been rocking my setup now for over 3 years. Still one of my favorite bikes.

Have you tried to fit 32mm tires yet?

Let us know how you find 12 spd mechanical!

My previous bike was spec'd with Shimano Claris 8 speed, and let me tell you coming from that 12s seems excessive. I honestly think 10 speed is probably all you would ever need, so I would guide the forum to save money and buy the now "old" 11 speed groupsets at lower prices. The 11-34 cassette is absolutely ridiculous, and once it wears out I will be going down to a 11-30. Previous Claris cassette was 11-28, and I was able to make it up all the mountains here in east TN. What is nice with going from 8-12 is that the jumps between cogs are much smaller, which I never realized would be that big of a deal. I feel like the only time I would ever use the 34T is if I was bonking hard

Just out of curiosity what country?
I have a feeling that winspace and chinese brands in general haven't penetrated the non english speaking market as strongly.

Knoxville TN, United States. Most of the people who I have ran into riding here seem to be older. Less exposure to the corners of internet
