What was your problem with Winow ? Warranty claim ?

Yep. Terry is useless, he ghosts me because he doesnt want to do his job. It's so unacceptable, i'm at a loss for words. It's not the first time this happens, but this time it's just outright insulting so enough is enough.

FWIW, Terry at winow has been ignoring my emails for several weeks, he's just ghosting me. I've spent thousands of dollars with them. I've sent at least 5 chasers. He just ghosts me.
I wouldn't recommend working with winow.

can of primer, 2 cans of colour, can of top coat (one part, the cheap kind). All from local diy store. cost me, idk, 25 eur.
My conclusion: i should have ordered black from the factory and called it a day.

Hi, have someone test if RD ER9 will work with cassete 11-36 or higher? I read thaht 11-34 is max (ltwoo manual)

when i used a 36, i used a cage extender. We all run 34 native on our er9. ltwoo used to say 32 was the max.

Does anyone have this? https://aliexpress.com/item/1005007593454835.html

@Serge about the hiserwa windbreaker: Is it any thick or just a thin windbreaker? I see you have a size M but you're about my size, is this the right size? I usually prefer asian size L for jerseys
And do you still use the "thermic" spexcel jersey or is it a complete spongy waste of money even under 5°c?

That pad is gel. gel pads are notoriously cheap and shitty.

The jacket is just a windstopper layer. I've done several rides in single digit temperatures (celcius), very pleased with it. Base layer w holes + LS plastic TS + LS merino TS + this jacket + buff + the 3m gloves mentioned + the winter shoes mentioned + long BIB, and it's great. I get sweaty hands, which is better than getting them cold, i guess. The sizing of the jacket is great. The shoes are the weakest link, because even with wool socks, my feet are slightly cold at the end of the ride, so i would probably get cold feet during very long rides.

Hate to rain on ya here Serge, but the adapter i got form amazon is almost 1:1 the same as the lewis, but it doesn't work and the reason is really annoying.

The L-Twoo calipers have this bulge that goes down into the adapter they offer - that works in that gap in that adapter, but because "flat mount" standard is literally meant to be *flat* against the adapter or fork, you lose the lift/benefit of this adapter when you install it because the caliper isn't direclty mounted to the lifted part, it's mounted to the outside areas that don't give the full 20mm lift.

It's midnight here, but I'll try to sketch it out tomorrow to show you what I mean. Essentially, the little ridge that hosts the 34mm spacing is where the Shimano caliper would attach, giving it the life, but you're bypassing that with the l-twoo brakcet and going back down to a smaller lift, which doesn't *quite* do it. I was *almost* there, lol.

Same with the Magura posted here - almost *every* "flat mount" adapter tha'll get ya 20mm, the 20 mill is on the highest edge of the rise where the Shimano would direct mount, and as such, does us no good.

I did try to just use the adapter between the caliper adn the l-twoo braket, but because of the odd shape of the l-twoo caliper, the little buldge made it impossible.

Photos please, i have no idea what you just explained :)

Registered just to answer this topic :D
What is wrong with XLC BR-X106 & BR-X107? I ordered them few days ago, still on the way. Found them due to somebody's conversion fotos..

I don't think they work with ltwoo calipers. They probably work with Shimano ones. Looking at the front one only.

Does ICAN also sell frames without decals? I don't like the strange TRIAERO branding.

ICAN has several websites. I interacted with a "crystal" there, and the frame we discussed didn't have logos.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: SROAD lightweight cassettes

got the new one on goldix store on aliexpress. i've now done a handful of rides on the new one. i had to re-calibrate quite a few gears (which seems fair, different cassette, slightly different spacing), but it's already pretty much flawless, especially the easier cogs when shifting under load (doing vo2max efforts uphill).

I reply to my own posts because I'm sassy like that. I'm thousands of km into this cassette. A friend of mine also bought one and he's a bit of a power monster and very rough on his gear.
We're both very happy with these cassettes. I'm on er9 11s, he's on di2 11s.

Well I'm in Europe, so can't buy your links, first of all :) or import and what not, too much drama.
The first link makes no reference to 180. I'm a simple man, and I've already bought adaptors that didn't fit. So, I think the first one doesn't work.
The second one makes a reference to 180, but it's confusing.
So... My source is selling them for 12 dollars, I'm buying 7, and a friend is paying for the shipping because he wants his upgrade in winter... So I'll buy from my source, I think. But it doesn't mean there aren't alternatives. What I know is that I've been looking for months and never found anything that worked.

I think it's going to work.
Current setup on fork is ltwoo 160mm (using ltwoo hardware from the box).
the adaptor says 160 to 180mm.
Using longer screws, the adaptor goes between the fork and the existing setup as pictured above.
None of the holes in the adaptor are threaded, so it's really just a spacer, someone courageous enough might just put shims really...

So, the current setup is threaded into the fork at 70mm interval. I'll add the adaptor, using longer screws. And voila. In theory.
On the picture here, the 34mm spaced holes will not be used. I guess that's to screw on a shimano FM caliper, at which point i think you have a 160mm setup, not 180. Anyway, i dont run shimano.

That sounds simple, but it took me over a year to find that stuff at a reasonable price (12 usd + shipping). It should cost 4 bucks, but hey ho.

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: New frame: Longteng RD301-D
« on: November 05, 2024, 03:58:41 AM »
I don’t have calipers for exact measurements but hopefully these pics will help. The rim internal width is 22, and it looks like the 32s are 32 when inflated.

There’s been a bunch of content recently from folks like Nero on “all road” bikes like the Enve Melee and Ribble Allroad, which is interesting because I think this frame fits in that category: not an aggressive racing geometry, but not upright like endurance bikes - it sits in the middle where comfort and speed intersect. With a bit of room for rough pavement / light gravel. That’s exactly what I’m looking for, let’s see how this thing actually rides when the weather cooperates.

I agree. I saw that Pirelli released a fancy 35C road tyre. A frame like with such tyres would be perfect to motor through any forest road. In the mountains i ride in, many of these roads during the off season can get pretty dirty. Not quite gravel, but definitely sketchy on 28C. Now with something like this, you'd just motor through. Switzerland, for eg, also has lots of tiny roads, if not paths, in wine country, for eg, made with cement slabs. With a bike likes this, likewise, you'd just motor through. Ditto w various bike paths that are asphalt, but crap, or covered in crap.
And it'd still be very fast on proper asphalt.
For people who dont race (and i dont race), depending on where you live, this can really be wonderful. The 1st gravel bike i bought was sluggish AF, didn't like it on the road at all, and the 301 is totally different: very close to my 268 in geometry, so for sure it's a fast bike.

Got multiple phonenumbers and their address in Dongguan but I'm still being ghosted.
If anyone is in China and doing research at replica business send me a private message. Would be an awesome youtube video..  ;D (hint hint)

Even Winow is ghosting me. Drives me mad how unprofessional some of these people are. I spent 3k with the guy and he wont reply.
I just wanted to vent :)
